Seitz, died at her home 51 miles west of Starkville, on Wad nesday. This excellent lady had been a sufferer for several months past. She is survived by a hus band and four children. The Oktibbeha County Union convened at Double Springs last Friday and saw fit to adopt the following resolutions: All candidates referred to in this resolution will please grant the re quest therein: “Whereas, it is by ballot we receive the greater portion of our protection, success and happiness, and the ballot being greater than the bullet, we should not be ignorant of what we are doing in casting it. Therefore, be it resolved by the Oktibbeha County Union, in ses sion at Double Springs this the 7th day of July, 1911, that in or der to enable the voters to handle their ballots for the greatest good to the greatest number; we ask the several candidates who are aspir ing to become Mississippi’s Legis lators and Senators to let the voters know in their announce ments during the grand rounds where they stand on the following questions, which may confront Mississippi’s next body of law makers : 1. The reduction of the con tract rate of interest from 10 per cent, to H per cent. 2. The repeal law creating the office of county attorney. SJ, A slate juvenile reformatory. 4. Foreign immigration. o.
