A meeting of the Young Peo ples Branch ot the W.C T.U. which was recently organized under the leadership of Mrs. G. G. Snow, was held at the home of Miss Annie Barr Maxwell, at 8 p. m.. Thursdoy, February 18th 1915. After the meeting wae called to order bv the president. Joseph S Rice, an interesting editorial of Miss Elizabeth Crane, *ur Slate organizer of the Ys, from the Mississippi White Ribbon, was read by Mr, Vaugh which editorial is a forceful and urgent call for enlistment of young peo ple in the White Ribbon Brigade. Miss Helen Hawkins, then read afc extract from one ot W. J. Bryans editorials in which he requests ail young men to pledge themselves to be total abstainers. There were other interesting features of the meeting, at least all present were interested and enthusiastic over our present work and prospects for the fu ture in this organizaiiont but as it was a business meeting and primarily interested those pres ent, it suffices to say further, only, that the business was dis pensed pleasantly, orderly, and efficiently under the administra tion of its president with much enthusiasm shown throughout b> all present. Mr. and Mrs. Glenn who re sided in one of the R. JL. Howell’s houses have moved in the house occupied by J. T. Dawkins hav ing rented apartments with the latter /.
