MissLoryne Holcotnbo returned home last Sunday from a couple of weeks’ visit to Mattoon, 111., accompanied by her sister, Miss Estelle, who will spend a few weeks’ vacation with homefolk. Mr. F. M. Abbott, of Grenada, who had been doing Carpenter work in our city for the past three months, left Monday for Cotfee ville, where he has work for sev eral weeks. —- mt ■ W Miss Leanna Mitchell, of Cof feeville is in the city for a weeks’ visit the guest of Mrs. Robert Uowe. Mrs. Jettie Neal left last Satur day for a ten days’ visit to friends in Sumner and Webb. O. T. Tarver for Alderman. We are announcing in this issue of The Itemizer Mr. O. T. Tarver as a candidate foa Alderman of Ward 3. We would say some thing in favor of Mr. Tarver, but what’s the use? Everybody in the city of Water Valley knows him. They know him to be a good business man, thoughtful and attentive to matters intrusted to his care. This is a sure sign that he will make a good official. Well, good officials are what the people are looking for. We are warrantee in saying Mr. Tarver will make a good official. He is a good man for the place. Dr. Byron Mitchell, Optometrist, will be at the Herring Hotel next Saturday and Monday, Sept. 17th and 19th. If you need glasses, see him now. Mr. and Mrs. H. N. Powell and daughter, Miss Lucile, returned home last week from an extended visit to relatives and friends in Thayer, Mo, { < ____» --- Mr. F. W. Wright and fuinily, of near Leggo, have moved into our city to make it their home. All modern conveniences Apply to Mrs. D. H. Driver. Mrs. Fred Pearson returned home Monday from a several days' visit to Bradford. Term. She was accompanied home by her mother, Mrs. F. I). Bryant, who will spend several days here. Mrs. Jack Gibson, of McComb, on her way home from an extend ed visit to different points in North Mississippi, stopped over and is spending several days in our city the guest of Mrs. Lee Hawkins. --OK 0 --- Miss Edna Tate left Monday for Oaklrnd to take her position as one of the] Faculty of the Yalobusha County Agricultural High School. Mr. J. VV.
