Respectfully submitted Geo Lyon W‘ H. Walters To the Honorable Board of Su pervisors of Yalobusha County; I hereby submit report on roads in Beat 4. We have raised BDd re deemed some of the low roads but have several more plaoes yet that must be raised before winter sea son if we have any roads worth while, we also have Some sand hills to be clayed aod in my opinion generally the toads are in bettef condition than heretofore. I feel very much encouraged sinoe some of the generous hearted oitizens have agreed to furnish teams if we will furnish the labor to do special improvement. We contemplate spending several Thousands in the nest few months on improved enter County high ways. WHO sucti conditions noimng win do more good than to get our heads together and oontinue to work and boost for good roads, Respectfully submitted Geo. Lyon. We your committee appointed to view and lay out if found praotio able a new public road petitioned for by Zeke & Joe Cole and others by petition filed at the August meeting of this Board beg leave to report tnat we have examined and viewed the proposed road and find it practicable and recommend that a new public road be established. We have marked said road the same having been layed out by us as follows; Beginning on the Water Valley and Coffeeville road about one hundred yards south of Johnson Creek and running thence south to the east of the present road and aloug the survey of the Johnson & Johnson civil Engineers whioh is shown by the plans now on file with the Clerk of this Board for a distanoe of about 9 miles intersect ing the Coffeeville and Shiloh road in front of the house of J W. Davis now oooupied by Luid Lee said propoeed road will traverse the lands of E, M Thornton, Rnfe Wilburn, John Ware, W. B, Wag ner and the heirs of D. R. Wagner, deceased, J. W. McLarty & Com pany, Carlyle Phillips, W. W. & J. W. Adams, Joe & Zek Cole, Leroy Blair, Lucius Godwin, Ed Smith, Jesse Barber, Claude Womack, James Womaob, W. B. Hunter, Mariah Vaughn, G, W. Arm. strong. Ceoil & Thad Dew, W. H. Hugnes, Ab Branum and J.W. Davis.
