XKe $40,000.00 Coronation Robe t~ - ' __3k___:... IBS Era of Great Good Will I WORDS ARE POOR and weak to give expression to our sincere thanks for last night’s outpouring , of our friends, We feel that yet greater and better things than we have ever done must be the real evidence of all we feel. While we hoped for many thousands of you, you overwhelmed our every preparation. 5,000 FREE SOUVENIRS were handed out and many of you were forced to go away empty handed. As these words are written (9.00 o’clock this morning) the force in the Receiving Room is hurrying the unpacking of 10,000 more of the pretty Aluminum Trays which we give to every visitor during the Opening Days. We give these Aluminum Trays-to every visitor; and in addition, we.give a rarely pretty Pearl handled Gold-plated Penholders and Pens to every purchaser of 50 cents’ ’ worth* of .goods. ABSOLUTE COUNT showed that 6,853 people visited the Formal Reception last night. That’s a gpeateivhumber than is ever gathered together by all the retail stores of Jersey City put together —save this one—on any given day. And this throng' came’ here and went away within two hours. So great was the excitement and so keen the in terest that a large squad of policy was necessary to keep the crowds in a moving procession cm our four vast floors and in the annex. THE GOOD WILL shown towards us by the immense outpouring is prcr:nndly appreciated; and is repayment for every hour of thought, every minute of work and every dollar of expenditure that has been given to the rejuvenating and strengthening of this mart. ’ THE .MANAGEMENT, the Section Superintend ents and the Salesforce are inspired to yet great exertion. No stone will be left unturned, any trouble is a pleasure, eveyy duty a delight, in try ing to give back to you the Stocks and Service which your evident friendship for us deserves. THE REAL REWARD which we have is the knowledge that this series of vitally active stores holds first place in your shopping thoughts. All this proves that our welfare has an intelligent response from you, and that about every’ family in Hudson County is concerned in knowing that there is one place to which it may turn sure of honor, honesty, worth, sincerity and truth. Thank you, and yet again, thank you! Two Rinds of Souvenirs for our Many Friends « ———————--—- ■■ There are two kinds of Souvenirs for our good friends during these Opening Days. One, a fine Aluminum Tray is FREE to every Visitor. The other is a dainty and pretty I Pearl-Handled, Gold-plated Pen Holder and Pen Free to Every Purchaser of 50 cents’ worth, or more, of merchandise. Delighted women testify to the daintiness of this Pen Holder. !_____ Wraps, J acKets, - Costumes, Shirts and Waists At no point in the establishment were praises louder or crowds greater than in the new Cloak, Suit and Waist Stores. And justice to the stocks gave truthful testimony to the beauty and dignity of the showing.
