The hours from 12:00 to 3:00 o’clock will be observed in silent meditation, commenmorating three hours that Christ was on the cress. At 7:30 p. m., the pastor will preach, followed by adoration of the cross. Saturday—Services for Holy Sat urday will commence at 7:00 o’clock. Mass will begin approximately at 8:15. The renewal of a custom, blessing of the Easter foods, that is traditional at the Easter season among the Catholic populace in Florence, will again be nract:ced, according to an announcement made by Father Pekalla. He will be at the home of Mrs. Mi-hael Cisar in Florence at 3:30 o’clock, and all are requested to be present at the place and time designated. They came to His tomb because they knew He was dead! In tender and sorrowing homage they would anoint His body the last possible act of loving reverence. "Be not affrighted!" From holy lips the words fell. "Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified/ He is risen! He is not here behold the place where they laid Him." They looked upon an empty tomb. And then, slowly, the truth the promise His own lips had spoken slowly it became real to them. They had come in sorrow to anoint His body they went forth in wonder, daring to believe knowing Christ lives! Over the centuries the troubled, the lost, the sorrowing have come to *-Tis Church as the weeping women came to His tomb hoping to find "cmfort in reverent homage to one who died. And men and women have gone forth rejoicing, believing knowing Christ lives!
