HILL STORE “Since the Turn of a Century” CALDWELL, OHIO SHOTS HORT BY L. L. LONG EARLY BIRDS—Several young girls have been trying to get the jump on old man summer by donning swim ming suits and soaking up a little early-season tan. While we, poor mortals, have been shivering around the fire, these hardy souls have been exposing their backs to Sol’s feeble rays in an effort to acquire that mid-summer bronze in May. The early bird may get the worm this time of year, but hardly a “burn”. AUTOGRAPH JACKETS are be ginning to appear around town with several of the girls sporting th-s latest fad. It’s just an ordinary jacket with your friends’ names au tographed all over it, then em broidered in gay colors. Sort of reminescent of the “Rah Rah” coll ege days when everyone wore auto graph slickers. BETTER PLAN NOW to attend the annual fish supper of the Noble County Fish & Game club to be held in the Methodist church on Friday, May 24.
