More and more each day I miss her, Friends may think the wound is healed But they little know the sorrow, Lies within my heart concealed. all, DAUGHTER, EDNA MALLETT Obituary Ida Belle VanFossen was bom on May 18fc 1880 and departed this life on Friday, May 3, 1946, being 65 years, 11 months, and 14 days old. Death came unexpected, at the fam ily home in Elk township, as she was seemingly improved from a lengthy illness. On January 22, 1898 she was mar ried to John M. VanFossen, who sur vives. She also leaves a daughter, Grace Feldner of East Union and one son, Bert of Harriettsvile, route. A son, Clarence Hubert, died August 9, 1924. One sister, Mrs. Martha Robbins of Pleasant City, and four brother, Mel ville King, of Grantsville, West Vir ginia Blaine of Caldwell and Wiley and John W. of Canton, are also left to mourn her death. Other survivors are: eight grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Three grandsons served in the armed forces Woodrow and Chester Feldner, and Kenneth VanFossen, who is still in Germany. His grand mother’s fondest hope was to be spared until his safe return. Ida was a member of the Crum’s Ridge Church of Christ, having been baptized by H. W. Blakes on May 24, 1911. She was a regular attender of the church services when her health permitted. In her passing on, we lose a good wife, a loving mother, a devoted grandmother, and kind and helpful v neighbor. Funeral services were held at 2 o’clock p. m. on Sunday at Crum’s Ridge church, with Brother Jesse Rossiter, officiating. Burial was in church cemetery with McVay Fun eral home of Caldwell in charge.
