Caldwell. Methodist church was an impressive double when ceremony, October 5, The Rev. Keck performed the ceremony at 10:00 a. m. before an altar banked with fan shaped bou quets of white and red gladiolii, against a background of palms and ferns. The soloist sang “Always” and “I Love You Truly”. The bride was lovely in gown of powder blue trimmed in silver se auins and black accessories. Her corsage was an orchid with matched lace. Miss Marie Huddleson was brides maid, and was attired in sheer brown wool with brown and gray accessories. A lavender orchid was her corsage. Eugene Tilton was best man and the ushers were Buddy Taylor, brother of the bride, and Ben Craft, nephew of the bridegroom. The bride’s mother was attired in black, her corsage being red rose buds, tied with white ribbon. Mrs. Boyd chose a gray pin stripe suit with black accessories and wore a corsage of red rose buds. Following the ceremony, bride’s sister and husband were hosts at a reception for the immed iate families. The collation table was centered with a two tier, three layer cake, topped with a miniature bride and groom. The bride is a graduate of the Malta-McConnellsville high school and is now employed as a beauty operator in Columbus. The bridegroom was graduated from Caldwell high school, class of 1936, and served in the local nation al guard until inducted into federal service. He served with 37th Divi sion in the South Pacific until the end of the war, making a total of over five years federal service. He is now employed with the Ohio Fuel Gas Company. Columbus. Immediately following the recep tion, the couple left for a short honeymoon in Cincinnati and other points of interest, returning to Col umbus Wednesday where their apartment is in readiness. The double ring ceremony took place at 9 o’clock in the morning in the rectory of St. Philomena’s Catholic church with Rev. Fr. Stephen Pakella officiat ing. For her wedding, the bride chose a white satin floor length gown with a full train. The sweetheart neckline was trimmed with white crystal beads and the long full sleeves ended in points over the hands. Her finger tip veil as held to a crown of orange blossoms. For the traditional something old and bor rowed, she carried a white lace handkerchief which belongs to her mother. She carried a colonial bou quet of white camelias with white streamers, and her only jewelry was a single strand of baby pearls, a gift of the bridegroom. The president, Mrs. Bertha Ull man, presided at the business ses sion, with Mrs. Anna Richcreek in charge of devotionals and the pro gram. Mrs. Richcreek used as her tneme, “Guidance”. The hymn ser vice was conducted by Rev. Guiler. The nominating committee was ap pointed and included Mrs. L. H. Tarleton, Mrs. H. L. Bates, and Mrs. J. E. Smith. Following the ceremony a small reception was held at the home of the bride. A three tiered wedding cake topped with a miniature bride and groom centered the table. The newlyweds left later for a trip to Kentucky. For traveling the new Mrs. Mackall donned a summer aqua dress with black patent ac cessories and a corsage from her bouquet. The bride is a graduate of the Caldwell high school, class of 1940, and attended Ohio University, Athens. She was formerly employed as stenographer-typist at Fisher Body Division, Cleveland, and later employed in the Finance Office at Fletcher General Hospital, Cam bridge. The bridegroom was graduated from Wellsville high school and at tended the University of West Vir ginia at Morgantown. He was re cently discharged from the U. S. Army after serving 3’/a years with the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divi sions. He served two years overseas. The newly married couple plan to ieside at Piqua, where the bride groom is employed as an appren tice to an undertaker.
