Thursday, October 24, 1946 MISS ESTHER WARNER BRIDE OF JOSEPH REMEROWSKI Miss Esther Warner, daughter of Simon Warner, of West Fairground street, and Joseph Remerowski, of Canton, exchanged marriage vows in an impressive ceremony before the alter of St. Philomena Catholic church, Saturday morning at 9 o’clock, with Rev. Stephen J. pa kella officiating. The bride wore a gown of white satin and a white bridal both with trains. She carried a white prayer end rosary, and her bouquet was of large white pompoms and small white flowers, tied with white rib bon streamers. Clement Cisar, of Caldell, and Edward Remerowski, of Canton, acted as attendants to the bride groom. Following the ceremony, a wed ding dinner was served at the home of the bride’s parents. The couple left on a wedding trip through the south, and upon their return they will reside in Canton. SHARON MOTHER’S CLUB HOLDS INTERESTING MEETING The Sharon Mother’s club held their October meeting on October 1, at the home of Mrs. Mary Haga. Mrs. Haga presided at the meeting, v^ith the reading of the minutes be ing approved. A discussion of the hot lunch program was held. A var iety of fruits and vegetables have been canned by the group. The serving of lunches started October 14, and they are being ser ved in the basement of the Presby terian church, which has been re modeled for more convenience and ease of sewing. SLEVIN-PARNEK MARRIAGE announced ra£Ur Laudy Help of Christians Catholic church, was the sfene of the wedding of Miss Elaine Parnek, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Par nek, of Chicago, and Ernest Slevin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Slevin, of Quaker City route 4. Rev. Father itanlon performed the single ring ceremony. 1 he bride, who was accompanied to the alter by her father, was at tired in a gown with white satin bodice with long sleeves, and a full skirt of white net over silk, which ended in a short train. A cap of seed pearls held in place her two-tiered finger tip veil of lace. Her arm bouquet w’as of white gladioli. The bride was attended by her sister, Mrs. Irene White, as matron of honor. She wore a lavender or gandy gown with a short veil and carried a bouquet of gladioli. A ctep-sister, Mrs. Delores Frisch, was bridesmaid and wore a gown of yellow’ silk jersey and net, with a short veil. She carried a bouquet of gladioli. Edward Inglot served as best man. The new Mrs. Slevin attended Saint Mary's Training school, and is employed at Santay Corporation, Chicago. Mr. Slevin was graduated from Batesville high school and served two years with the United States Army, having served with a task force in the Southwest Pacific and with Merrill’s Marauders in India and Burma. At present he is em ployed by the Chicago Flexible Shaft Company. FELDNER-BATES UNITED IN MARRIAGE Rev. M. S. Casto officiated at the marriage of Miss Blanche Bates and Chester Feldner, which was solem nized Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock in the Free Methodist par sonage on East street. The couple vx as accompanied by the bride groom’s sister, Miss Wilma Feldner. For her wedding, the bride wore a street length dress of teal blue with black accessories. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elvin Bates, who reside east of Caldwell. Mr. Feldner is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Everett Feldner, of East Union. Following a short wedding trip, Mr. and Mrs. Feldner will reside with the bride’s parents, where Mr. Feldner is operating the Center Service filling station. LATIN CLUB MEETS AT DANFORD HOME Sodaltus Latina, the Latin of the Caldwell high school, wrns en tertained Wednesday evening at the home of Mrs. Danford, Olive. The door prize was won by Miss Inez Clark, the class advisor. The eve ning w’as spent in informal diver sions. Walkenshaw. The purpose of the meeting was to elect officers and revive the Guild after a year of inactivity because of so many ab sences. Officers elected were: Miss Phyllis Tilton, president Mrs. George Wilson, vice president Miss Mary Radcliff, secretary-treasurer and Mrs. Harold Hune, news cor respondent. AND MRS. KENNETH L. STOTTSBERRY Miss Mary Louise Hoffer and Kenneth L. Stottsberry were united marriage October 3 by Rev. Fr. Reilly, O. P. The ceremony took in place at 2:00 p. m. in the St. Thomas parsonage. The bride was attired in a tan suit with brown accessories and wore a corsage of gardenias. Attending the couple were Miss Jean Hoffer, sister of the bride, and Louis Hoffer, cousin of the bride. Miss Hoffer wore a tan suit with brown accessories and a corsage of pink rose buds. The bride, daughter of Mrs. Albert Hoffer, of Zanesville, and the late Albert Hoffer, graduated from St. Thomas high school and is em ployed at the Burnham Boiler Co. She is a member of the St. Thomas church. Mr. Stottsberry, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Stottsberry, of Sarahsville, is employed at the Lime Material Co. He was graduated from the Sarahsville high school, and was recently discharged from the U. S. navy. The couple will reside at 344 North Sixth street, Zanesville. BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION HONORS DORIND/X SMITH The birthday celebration of Miss Dorinda Smith which was held at the grange hall at Berne, was well attended. The forenoon was spent informally and at noon a potluck dinner was served. Hall on Main street, for their regular monthly meeting. The meeting was in charge of the president, Mrs. T. M. Ehlerman. Activities of the two organizations were discussed, and it was decided to have an evening of entertainment on November 1, and an apron sale to be sponsored by the ladies in December 7.
