Thursday, December 19, 1946 Harriettsville— McVay Home Scene of Joyful Yuletide Party Harriettsville, Dec. 18 Colorful yuletide decorations about the rooms furnished an appropriate setting for the annual W. S. C. S. Christmas party held Wednesday evening at the home of Mrs. G. E. McVay. The following program was en joyed: musical selection, “At Peace”, by Mrs. H. M. Ayers devotionals, Mrs. A. C. Kelby book report, Mrs. L. D. Schramm Christmas Carols, by the group. Exchange of gifts for members, gifts for secret sisters and names revealed, and new ones drawn for the coming year. Refreshments were served. At Installing Exercises Mrs. H. M. Ayers and Mrs. B. Ullman were installing officers the installation of ____ Aurelius chapter O. E. Miss Geneva Walters Ona Lee are of illness. Pleasant Valley Dec. 18—The East Union W. S. C. S. met for their Christmas meeting at the home of Mrs. Edith Craig Saturday, Dec. 14. A pot luck dinner was served after the dinner hour, the program was in charge of the president, Mary Green. Devotionals were led by Edith Craig.. A Christmas offering was taken amounting to $12.50. After the pro gram, a gift exchange was held. Supper was also served to the fol lowing: Mrs. Mary Green, son, John, W. T. Hague, Lydia and Sarah Gant, Jack Franklin, Gerry and Eddie and Frank Craig and the hostess, Edith Craig. Personals Shelby Green and family spent Wednesday evening at the home of Marcus Gant. Member answered the roll call with readings pertaining to Christ mas, the topic being “Christmas Carols.” A gift exchange was enjoyed. Re freshments were served by the host esses. Christmas Program Members of the Presbyterian Sunday school will present a Christ mas program at the church, Monday evening, Dec. 23. Everyone is in vited to attend.
