Following the dinner, the host ess was presented a shower of birthday gifts. Mrs. Foster and Mrs. W. C. Reed had charge of devotionals The business meeting was presid ed over by the vice president, Leone Barnhouse. The group de cided to redecorate the church in the near future. During the social hour clever contests were enjoyed with Mrs. Bertha Davis, Mrs. Loren Carnes and Mrs. Reed winning prizes. Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. Frank Boley, Mr. and Mrs. M. A. Ralph, Mr. and Mrs. Urban Hurst and Herbert, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Dudley and Sara Jean, Mrs. Mike Uyloscik, Mr. and Mrs. Andy Velosky, Mr. and Mrs. Loren Carnes, Mrs. Bertha Davis, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Preston, Mr. and Mrs. Thurston Ralph, George, Rachael and Rebecca, Cora and Cumberland Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Hall and son visit ed on Sunday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Carl Rex. Mrs. Robert Neff and two chil dren are visiting in the home of her sister, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Gee and son in Monroe, Michigan. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Black stone and son of Gallipolis, spent a few days the past week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hicel Bates. Mrs. Harry Hickle has return ed to her home after having been a patient for several weeks in St. Francis hospital, Cambridge. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Hall, Mrs. Eleanor Bell and children attended the wedding of their cousin at New Concord on Satur day evening. CARD OF THANKS We wish to take this means of expressing our appreciation and thanks to the many friends in Caldwell who were so kind dur ing the illness and death of our father, Viigil VanHorn. Mother's Club The Belle Valley Mother's club met at the high school, Wednes day evening, March 25 for their regular monthly meeting. The president, Mrs. Martha Burlingame had charge of meet ing. Plans were made for family night which the club is sponsor ing, Tuesday evening, April 14. All proceeds from this affair will be used for purchasing play ground equipment. All members are asked to contribute some thing for the White Elephant sale. At the close of a very pleasant evening, delightful refreshments in keeping with St. Patrick's Day were served to the following: Mary Hoopergarner, Elizabeth Buckey, Irene DeVolld, Mary Belle Bates, Flora Archer, Mar tha Burlingame, Hazel Hayes, Lucille Johnson, Dorothy Per kins, Glenna Moore, Helen John son, Margaret McFerren, Jane McKee, Betty Eschman, Carrie Worthington, Flora Lisak, Irene Uhl, Hermenia Wukelich and Lillian Colley. There was a guest, Margie Dyer and daughter, Nancy. The hostesses for this meet ing were: Helen Johnson, Lucille Johnson and Ruth Peck. On April 29, the Ohio Power representatives will demonstrate all the appliances in the Home Economic Room to the Mother's Club. All members are urged to bo present. Mrs. William Foster visited in Cambridge Monday and was ac companied home by her young granddaughter, Linda, who stayed with her until Thursday. Vivian Thomas and Helen Car tell were recent Zanesville shop pers. Those who desire to send cards to Rev. John Grimes may do so in care of Anna Plum, Uniontown, Ohio where he is recuperating from a recent illness. Cora Barnhouse was a caller at Jessie Reed's last week. Davis 1 Wright Patterson, AFB, and Helen Bond of Dayton, were weekend visitors of his mother. Mrs. Bertha Davis, recently, and while here took Mrs. Davis and also Freddie Davis of Sarahsville to see Mr. and Mrs. Grandstaii of Conesville route 1. They also visited with fAr. and Mrs. Thomas Proide and family of Trinway route 1. Mr. and Mrs. Homer Archer and family and Mrs. Dorothy Triplett and Debra were Sunday evening guests of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Milligan. Buddy Barnhouse is confined to his home due to a combination of mumps and measles. The Adult Bible class of Belle Valley Methodist church met at the parsonage on Friday evening, March 27, for their monthly party. Since Mrs. Foster's birlh day is March 28th, the member.1 surprised her by bringing gifti in honor of the occasion. A pot luck supper was served and de votionals led by Mrs. Foster.
