Homemakers Club The Belle Valley Homemakers club will meet Thursday at the home of Lucy Feldner for a day of relaxation plus instructions on hassock making as the club's project. IN TEXAS Frank Chicwak, 21, son of John Chicwak, of Cumberland route, formerly of Caldwell, is completing his Air Force basic military training at Lackland Air Force base, San Antonio, Texas. His training is preparing him for entrance into Air Force technical training for Air Force duty assignment, FULDA GRANGE Regular meeting of Fulda grange was held Wednesday evening, May 18, with the first and second degrees conferred on a number of candidates. She was rated high in the Biology test given at the same time. She has the honor of having the average of A plus in History, in her class. Rebecca is a sophomore at Osnaburg high school, of East Canton. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Forest Gardner, of East Canton, former residents of Caldwell. Mrs. Lettiu Young, formerly of Sarahsville, remains a bed patient at the home of her daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Snode in Pa. She is 86 years of age. Recent visitors of Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Leon is at the Shepherds airbase. He expects to be gone one week. Class No. 9 met at the home of Mrs. Delia Reid on Friday night. Mrs. Mary Patterson had charge of the devotionals and program and a social hour fol lowed and refreshments were served. The next meeting will be with Miss Grace Hall. Mr. and Mrs. Othel Bundy ar rived home last week from Sarasota, Fla., where they spent the winter. Miss Nelda Yourex spent the weekend at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Hall, north of town. Pfc. William Phillips returned home last week after receiving his discharged May 4th. He has been with the 89th engineers in Roekefort, France. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Phillips. Mrs. Edna Ice, of Zanesvilie, is spending a few weeks with Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Barnett, due to the absence of Miss Beatrice Lewis, who is a patient at St. Francis hospital when she under went surgery. The W.S.C.S. (young women's circle) held their May meeting at the home of Mrs. Audrey Ball Tuesday evening of last week. A devotional period in charge of Mrs. Ethel Johnson and a brief business session was followed by a parcel post sale and bazaar. Forty three were in attendance including a number of guests. Refreshments were served by Mrs. Ball assisted by co-host esses, Mrs. Geneva Bewley and Mrs. Mary Long. The following officers were elected at this meeting, Mrs. Ethel Johnson as prsident Mrs. Ruby Frakes, vice president Mrs. Hester Neiswong er, secretary and Mrs. Ruth Morgan, treasurer for the com ing year. Mrs. Helen Wolfe moved last Friday to the home of Mrs. Hal lie Bundy, where she will reside for the present.
