Yonder What Club fleets In Spear Home The Wonder What club met re nily in the home 01 Shelah Spear on Caldwell route with Edna Garvin and Alta Spear serv ing as companion hostesses. The day was spent in quilting and preparing materials for ruu making. A delicious lunch was served at noon by the hostesses. Contests were enjoyed during the afternoon with Nyla Wood ford. Friendly Neighbors lub Holds Meeting The June meeting of the Friendly Neighbors club of the Keithtown community was held Thursday, June 21 in the home of Joanne Hanson. The meeting was in the form of an all day meeting with a de licious dinner being served at noon. Contests were enjoyed during the afternoon with Dorsa Morris winning the club prize, Bertha Hanson, the guest prize and Lola Mitchell, the guessing prize. The single ring ceremony was read at 6:00 p. m. by the Rev. Leroy Hiett. Mrs. Martha Masters served as matron of honor and Junior Masters was best man. A reception was held following the ceremony in the home of lie bride's mother for approxi mately 40 guests. The bride is a graduate of Sar ahsville high school with the lass of 1956. Mr. Larrison is em ployed as a truck-driver. The couple is residing near Sarahsville. Worthwhile Class Holds June Meeting The Worthwhile class of the First Church of Christ, Caldwell, met Thursday evening in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Hayes, Sarahsville route 1, with Lillian Harkins and Mabel Gor don serving as companion host esses. Something Blue Miss Marilyn Pitts Becomes Bride Of Raymond Watson Sunday Afternoon The music, preceding the cere mony, was presented by James Carter, vocalist and Gary Lyons, organist. Mr. Carter's selections included "Because", "O Promise Me" and "The Lord's Prayer." The bride was escorted to the altar by her father. She wore a gown of Chantilly lace and nylon tulle over satin designed with a yoke of illusion which was outlined with lace applique. The sleeves were lorn* and tapering. Scalloped lace was appliqued to the bouffant xuiie skirt that billowed over an old-fashioned hoop and swept into a chapel train. Her finger-tip veil of illusion fell from a Queen's crown of pearls and sequins. She wore pean earrings, the bridegroom's gift and carried a cascade of white and pink rose buds. Mrs. Richard Sesterhenn, of Massillon, sister of the bride, was matron of honor and Mrs. William Moore and Mrs. Richard Crooks of Zanesville, were bridesmaids. Martha Sue Oliver, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Oliver, was flower girl and Gregory DeVol, son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard DeVol, Jr., was ringbearer. Leonard Danford served as Mr. Watson's best man and the guests were seated by Phil Fleeman, Fred Allen Wat son, David Smith, all of Cald well and Richard Sesterhenn, of Massillon. The matron of honor and the bridesmaids wore floor length dresses of marquisette over taf feta with lacy capes covering their shoulders. Rows of mar quisette formed the strapless bodices. Brandon, pastor of the Fiiot Church of Christ officiated Sunday, June 24 at the double ring service which united in marriage Miss Marilyn Pitts, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Athel Pitts of Lewis street and Raymond Watson, son of Mr. and Mrs. James A. Watson of Cumberland street. For the occasion, the church was attractively decorated with white flowers and palms which/ were arranged amid lighted tapers in candelabra. bands of gathered marquisette with pearl trim in their hair and wore brief mitts. Mrs. Sester henn was in fuchsia, Mrs. Moore in nile green and Mrs. Crooks in gold. They carried colonial bouquets of white carnations with ivy. The flower girl wore a floor length dress of pink nylon sheer and carried a basket of assorted roses. The reception was held follow ing the ceremony in the church basement for approximately 250 guests. Assisting at the reception were Misses Evelyn Christopher, Carol Ann Archer, Pat McDiffitt, Mesdames Carroll Guiler, Wayne Hayes and Leanna Horton. Both mothers were attired in navy blue frocks with navy and white accessories. Mrs. Pitts' corsage was of red carnations and Mrs. Watson's was of red rosebuds. For going away, the new Mrs. Watson changed to a biege sheath dress with brown accessories and a corsage of white flowers. Upon their return, the couple will reside with the bride's par ents until fall and then go to Athens where Mr. Watson will be a sophomore at Ohio Univer sity. The bride will continue to work at the Bailey Dru£ Co., in Zanesville until September. She is a member of the church in which she was married and Mr. Watson is a member of the Methodist church. Both are grad uates of Caldwell high schoo^ and Mrs. Watson also was grad uated from Meredith Business College, Zanesville.
