And Mrs. Floyd M?i!er Entertain Farm Bureau Council The Farm Bureau Council No. 11 met in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Miller for. their Octo ber meeting. The meeting was opened by the president, Erval Stevens. Roman Smithberger led the discussion and Mrs. Bertha L. Johanning had the scripture read ing. During the social hour, games were the diversion with prizes being won by Erval Stevens and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Baker. The door prize was won by Kathryn Ayers. Present were Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Ayers, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Baker and Frank, Supt. and Mrs. L. D. Schramm, Mr. and Mrs. Er vel Stevens, Mrs. Elsie. Unger, Miss Justine Smithberger and Roman Smithberger. A delicious lunch was served by the hosts. Entertains At Dinner Mrs. Ronnie Love entertained recently with a chicken dinner in honor of her husbands birthday anniversary. A large decorated cake centered the table. Covers were arranged for the honored one, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Cun ningham, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Love and Larry, Mrs. Bessie Love, Mrs. Martha Cunningham, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Cunningham and Marilyn Sue, Wadie Lucas, Joe Lucas, and hostess and Debra Sue. Spence, Jr., interior communications electrician third class is now stationed aboard the guided missile submarine USS Barbero. He recent took part in the North Atlantic treaty organ ization exercises in European waters during the latter part of September. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. Spence, of route 1. Mrs. Anna Hall, Mrs. Audrey Ball and Mrs. Lura Clin-e were hostesses. Project for the day was the making of copper plagues. A cov ered dish dinner was served to the noon hour. Guests of the club were Mrs. Isabelle Fulton and Mrs. Eliza beth Moore from the Fairview club and from Quaker City, Mrs. Neva Jeffries, Mrs. Laura Gil dia, Mrs. Esther Simeral, Mrs. Ruth Frayley, Mrs. Loueila Gar dner and Mrs. Lena Flood who became members at this meeting. The next meeting's project will be "Personal Grooming" and will be taught bv Mrs. Martha Morgan and Mrs. Beatrice Bates. It will be the third Thursday in November. Mrs. Ellen Denius of Noble county group, was also a guest. Street Parade On Halloween, Oct. 31, Quaker City firemen will again sponsor a Halloween event. There will be the usual street parade and party at the school auditorium. Children from surrounding neighborhoods are invited. Prizes and refreshments will be pro vided through donations from local business firms. E.O.T.A. Meeting The teachers from mki City school will attend the Eastern Ohio Teachers Associa tion at Steubenville Friday, Oct. 25 and classes will be dismissed for the day. G. G. Osborne, local teacher is the delegate from the Guernsey county Teacher's As sociation an'd A. L. Hughes, sup erintendent here, is a member of the resolutions committee of the Eastern Ohio association. Enjoy Visit Mrs. David Ellison visited re cently with her husband, Private Ellison, of Evansville, 111. St. Clair Rites Funeral services was iield on Thursday afternoon for Etta L. St. Clair, 75, of Columbus, at the Eberle funeral home in charge of Rev. Robert Frayley, pastor of the local Methodist church. Burial followed in Friends cemetery. Mrs. St. Clair was a native of this community but had re sided in Columbus for a num ber of years. She is survived by her husband, Albert D. St. Clair, a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Jane Johnson of Pittsburgh, and a son, Frank S. St. Clair, of Det roit, Mich, two brothers, Clar ence Smith of Quaker City route and George Smith of Columbus: two sisters, Mrs. Daisy O'Connor of Newark and Mrs. Bertha Beii dure of Lore City route and six grandchildren.
