1 Thursday, December 12, 1957 Soup Supper The Caldwell P.T.A. is ^on soring a soup supper Friday evening, Dec. 13 at 5:30 o'clock in the grade school cafeteria. Oyster soup and ehili- will be served in addition to pie and coffee. The grade school teach ers will al§o have a fish pond, orange tree and homemade candy. Public invited. Box Social The Belle Valley American Legion Post No. 641 is sponsor ing an old-fashioned box social 1 on Sunday evening, Dec. 15 at 6:30 o'clock in the Legion hall. The proceeds will be used for the annual Christmas party for the children of the community. Public invited. Organization Meeting An organizational meeting of the Belle Valley Parent-Teach ers Association will be held on Thursday evening, Dec. 12, be ginning at 8:00 m. at the Belie Valley high school. All parents and faculty members are cordi ally invited to attend. Principal Speaker for the evening will be Mrs. H. A. Burtcher, representa tive of the southeastern Ohio PTA organization. Attendance committee for this meeting is Mrs. Nellie Beckett, Harry Han niun and Arlin Still. Lambda Phi Class The Lambda Phi class of the First Church of Christ will hold their annual Christmas party on Tuesday evening, Dec. 17 at 8:00 o'clock in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Hayes on Walnut street. A fifty-cent gift exchange will be held. All members are urged to attend. Willing Workers The Willing Workers Sunday school class of the Cumberland Methodist church will hold their Christmas party Friday evening, Dec. 13 at 8:00 o'clock in the ohurch social room. A Christmas program will be presented. There w ill be no gift exchange, as the money will be used for chari table purposes. The entertain ment committee consists of Lena Shaw, Mildred Herron, Lillian Yerian, Hazel Scott, Bernice Hall and Nora Manifold. Flilda Grange Fulda grange No. 2468 will meet in regular session an Thurs day, Dec. 19, beginning at 7:30 p. m. There will be a $1.00 Christmas gift exchange. Santa Claus will be present and all members are urged to attend. Annual Xmas Party The annual Christmas party lor all the children in the Belle Valley community will be held Monday evening, Dec. 23 from 7:30 i$. m. to 9:30 p. m. in the Legion hall. The party is spon sored by the American Legion Post and Auxiliary. Features of the evening will be San'a Claus, treats and refreshments. All members of the Auxiliary are asked to bring one dozen cookies. Visiting members aiv wel come. To Hold Meeting The Belle Valley American Legion Auxiliary will meet Wed nesday evening, Dec. 18 at 8:00 o'clock in the post hall for a pot luck Christmas dinner. A one dollar gift exchange is planned. Guest night will also be observed at this meeting. Mixed Dance The Catholic Women's club of St. Michael's church, Carlisle, is sponsoring a mixed dance Satur day night, Dec. 14. Music will be furnished by the Shenandoah Valley gang.
