Emil Kraft of Cinci \ews Our Grandfathers Read From Issue Of May 24, 1906 The twenty-fifth annual com mencement of the Bluffton High school was held in the City Hall, Thursday evening, in the presence of a large and interested audience. The stage with its pleasant sur roundings, containing the eight young graduates, superintendent, high school teachers, members of the school board and speaker of the evening, presented a very attractive appearance. The exercises of the evening were interspersed by ex cellent musical selections by Frey’s orchestra, of Lima. The eight young graduates, Mabel Fett, Richard E. Romey, Maud K. Battles, Jesse K. Hilty, Nettie L. Moser, Malinda M. Amstutz, Jennie E. Cornwell and Daniel Trippiehorn delivered ora tions of a superior order. Mis. George Tipton, wife of Pro prietor George Tipton, of the Man hattan Hotel, Lima, left Saturday morning for Newton Falls, Ohio, be ing called there by the death of her mother, Mrs. Rachel Beck, who passed away Friday afternoon at the age of 78 years. Her husband lost his life four years ago in a runaway accident. William Minter Romey is the new son the stork dropped at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Romey at Richmond, Ind., Sunday. Mrs. Barbara Basinger received a telegram stating of the death of her brother-in-law, Eph Basinger of Salt Lake City. Mr. Basinger was well known around this community having lived here sometime ago. E. church in Pandora Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. Krohn was a former resident of Pandora. She made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Orlo Marshall of Rockport for several years.
