Andrews of Salem and Miss Wanda Snyder of Bergholz were Wednesday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Ferd Turner. Miss Kathleen Lugibihl of Chicago, Ill., is spending her vacation with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harley Lugibihl. Mrs. Alice Hesser and daughter Hazel of Pittsburgh, Pa., called on Mrs. G. W. Young Tuesday after noon. Mr. Earl Andrews and Mr. Roy David of Leipsic were Tuesday even ing visitors of the former’s mother, Mrs. G. T. Andrews. Mrs. Nellie Weaver of Lima was a Tuesday caller of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Shull. Mr. and Mrs. Geiger and daughter Ella, and Mr. and Mrs. Will Geiger and Mrs. Noah Bixler all of Apple Creek stopped Saturday at the home of Gideon Lehman and other rel atives for a short visit. They were enroute to Berne, Ind. Mission Feeds 1131 During the month of July the Lima City Mission provided 1131 free meals, according to a report released this week by Adam D. Marshall presented a group of her older pupils in a piano recital in her home last Wednesday afternoon. There will be no preaching ser vices at the Presbyterian church during the remaining Sundays of August as the pastor Rev. Armen trout and his family are taking their annual vacation. Robert, son of Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Marshall has been selected as a flutist in the All Ohio Boys’ Band and will leave for Columbus August 19th for a week of practice and will spend the final week of August at the State Fair. Ralph Marshall, student at Ohio State University was a week-end guest of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Marshall. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Begg, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Begg and sons John and William, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Begg and sons Jimmie and Paul joined with the Jesse Michael family of Lima in a family dinner at Faurot Park, Sunday, honoring Mrs. Paul Winks of Duluth, Minn. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Van Meter of Pandora and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Van Meter motored to Jefferson to spend the week end with Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Van Meter. Mrs. Zora Maynard of Lima spent several days the past week with her sister Mrs. W. E. Marshall. While here she received word that her step daughter was among those killed in the wreck near Cuyahoga Falls. Harley Cook of Cleveland and mother, Mrs. Mary Cook of Colum bus Grove were Saturday afternoon callers in the A. H. Marshall home. Mrs. J. T. Begg of Cleveland and daughter Mrs. Eleanor Herald of Oklahoma City were Friday night and Saturday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Begg. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Marshall were business callers at Irwin near Columbus one day last week. The Light Bearers of the Presby terian church will hold their annual picnic at the Columbus Grove swim ming pool Thursday afternoon. Mrs. F. C. Marshall presented her piano pupils in recital at the high school building in Pandora last Fri day evening. They were heard by an appreciative audience. The August meeting of the Pres byterian missionary society will be held in the home of Mrs. Glen Huber Wednesday afternoon of next week with the following program: Bible study, Mrs. Walter Cupp Youth Budget, Miss Edythe Cupp Mis sionary Topic, Mrs. F. Jeanette Huber return ed home with them for a week’s vacation. Noel Fruchey and family of Pandora moved into the remodeled Rockhill house recently vacated by John Hetrick and family. Miss Madeline Bixel who spent several weeks in Boulder, Colorado, attending summer school has re turned as far as Chicago where she is a guest of Mrs. Lillian Rust and family.
