Rev. D. J. Unruh of Pratum, Ore gon, is to preach at the St. John church next Sunday, -where he had been pastor for several years, until he accepted a pastorate last December in the West. He will leave this com munity the fijst of the week for Penn sylvania to visit his parents before attending the General Conference which is being held at Souderton, Pa. Serious damage resulted on several farms north west of Bluffton. The greatest loss was sustained by Wilburt Schu macher six of his thoroughbred Hol stein cows were killed, besides a new Ford car was crushed when a tree was blown directly over it. Serious damage was done to the barn on the farm which is occupied by Mr. and Mrs. Amos Tscheigg. Settlement LaFayette Mrs. E. O. Edwards left Sunday af ternoon for Ashville, North Carolina, where she is to assist in the work at an orphanage. Quite a number from Berne, Ind., attended the Garmotter reunion at Pandora last Sunday. Wayne, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Habegger has recently been employed at Steiner Bros. Machine shop in Lima. Ralph Campbell of Toledo returned to his home last Sunday after spend ing part of the summer with Mr. and Mrs. Harry Howell. A group of young people from this vicinity are attending the Quaker Haven Retreat on Dewart Lake, near Syracuse, Ind., from August 4 to 10. Ezra Moser was elected trustee of Bluffton College for a regular six year term. Mr. and Mrs. Francis Wilson and family who lived on the Hiram Locher farm for some time have moved to Michigan. N. N. The home of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Hilty was the scene of a beautiful lawn, wedding, when their daughter, Geneva, became the bride of Freman Samsel of Columbus Grove. Sewage Conference Here On August 19 More than 35 engineering experts are expected here for the Northwest ern Ohio Sewage Congerence to be held in the Bluffton Legion hall,, Tuesday night, August 19.
