Experiment On Main Street Rail Removal Anticipating a possible re-surfac ing of Bluffton’s Main street next summer, Lee Coon, Bluffton street commissioner, assisted by municipal employes, is experimenting in the rehioval of the steel rails of the abandoned Western Ohio Railway running through the middle of Bluff ton’s Main street. The work is being started on a section of street located near the Johnson Filling station on South Main street. A cut is made on either side of the rail with pick axes after which an acetylene torch is used to cut off the “ball” or top of the rail. When cold weather sets in it may be possible to break off the ball of the rail due to the brittle qualities of the metal in cold weather, Coon pointed out. Thus, it may not be necessary to completely cut the rail by using the torch, it was stated. WANT-ADS I will Call me charge.
