RGARINE 9,000 W UNITS OF xGU VITAMIN A IN EVERY POUND reel “Set the hook brother, and this one in!” This is the one thing that every angler has been waiting for—a contest where the fisherman can ply his favorite pastime and be rewarded at the same time! The Buckeye quarry has been restocked heavily with thousands of fish the past few years and now the directors of the Sportsmen’s club are throwing a fishing party for the whole com munity. This party will last throughout the summer and will give every angler an equal opportunity to share in the fun. Last fall nearly one thousand large blue gills and two hundred big bass were placed in the quarry as part of the restocking program. Forty-nine of these fish were tagged on the gill cover with a metal plate bearing a number. For this parti cular group of fish, which consists of 25 bass and 24 blue gills, the club and merchants and firms are giving away an assortment of prizes which are valued from $1.00 to a $25.00 war bond. All the angler must do to collect the prize is catch the fish with the metal band, present the band to contest director Gail Mumnia 504 North Main street, Bluffton and a certificate will be presented which entitles the lucky party catching the fish to collect the prize. The contest is open to any club member. Men, women, and young sters, from any localty, 16 years of age and up are eligible to join the club and fish for the prize. Boys and girls under 16 may enter the contest and are not required to join the club, but they must be ac companied by a club member while fishing. The town council has given the Sportsmen’s club a fishing lease on the Buckeye quarry and it is the purpose of the club to develop this beautiful lake into one of the best fishing holes in this part of the state. The club’s policy is to place every available dollar into restocking of fish and game in our area, and this year the directors have appropriated over $750 for restocking purposes! Youths Bound Over To Hancock Jury Pleading guilty to grand larceny charges at preliminary arraignment in the Findlay mayor’s court, Rich ard Gossman, 19, of Bluffton and Eugene McClelland, 22, of Rawson, were bound over to the Hancock county grand jury last week for further investigation.
