The service was conducted by Mr. and Mrs. Maynard George of Wheaton college, Wheaton, Illinois. Rev. and Mrs. P. J. Boehr left for Newton, Kansas, Monday where they are to attend a conference of mis sionaries who have been in various mission fields in China in past years. Their daughter went with them as far as Winona Lake where they are to spend a few days. I Rev. D. J. Unruh is to occupy the pulpit at £t. John church next Sun day morning. Rev. and Mrs. Unruh and daughter Joanne and son Paul are to left for Newton, Kansas, early next week where he has ac cepted the pastorate of a large Men nonite congregation in that city. Mrs. S. F. Pannabecker spoke at the Pandora Missionary church church Sunday evening. The occa sion was the jug breaking of the boys and girls of the congregation. Rev. and Mrs. William Cox spent last Sunday in Wooster with friends and members of the congregation of which Mr. Cox had been pastor a few years ago. Johnny Frary of Mt. Vernon is spending the week with his grand mother, Mrs. Josephine Moser and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Welty and family. Potato growers are busy these days in this locality harvesting their crop. Yields are somewhat higher than had been anticipated and the quality of the spuds is excellent. A ready market awaits all available stock. Even though hay is commanding a good price very few farmers are putting up their second cutting of alfalfa due to the good prospects for seed this season. Good seed will likely bring high prices. Abraham Sommer expects to spend some time visiting in the home of his brother Mr. and Mrs. Peter Som mer at Diendee, Michigan. Dwight Geiger of Great Lakes Naval station is spending the week with his home folks. Mary Schey has taken the place of Treva Geiger at the office of the Page Dairy plant in Bluffton. Miss Geiger is to leave soon for Omaha, Nebraska, to be enrolled as a stu dent at Grace Bible Institute. Eldon Geiger and daughters Mrs. Robert Differburgh and Elizabeth of Decatur, Ill., are here visiting among relatives. Mrs. David Reichenbach and son Ronnie, Mrs. Robert Deffenbaugh and Elizabeth Geiger of Decatur, Ill., were Tuesday dinner guests in the Willis Schumacher home. Lloyd and Carl Wehrly are at present employed in one of the Lima shops. Mr. and Mrs. Hiram Kohli and son, Jr., were Sunday dinner guests in the home of Mrs. Mary Miller, Selma and Paul. The Putnam County Farm Bureau had a picnic dinner at the Pandora play ground Tuesday. Games and contests featured the afternoon pro gram. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Suter visit ed in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Elam Suter, Sunday. Charles is now at Madeiraville, Indiana, as supervisor of the educational work of the CPS camps. Mrs. Suter has been employed as one of the in structors in the Rawson schools. The members of the Linwood Threshing Ring and their families enjoyed a time of fellowship at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Frid ley and family last Tuesday even ing.
