THURSDAY, SEPT. 19, 1946 Funeral For Gilboa Man Friday Afternoon John C. Phillips, 88, retired farm er, died at the home of his son, L. G. Phillips of near Gilboa, Wednes day morning. Death, due to complications fol lowed a ten months illness. Mr. Phillips who wintered in Florida be came ill there last winter and re mained in the south through" the summer, being brought to the Borne of his son last week. Surviving, besides the son at whose home he died, are two broth ers, Chetro of Mt. The 72c dividend was derived from approximately 61c per share on profits on the sale of portfolio securities for the entire fiscal year and ap proximately 11c per share from interest and dividend income during the final quarter of the fiscal year which ends September 30t|. Total dividend ’distribution for the txv^lve month period totals $1.04 per share as compared to 86c per share distributed during the comparable period a year ago. Earl E. Mr. and Mrs. John Marquart and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Marquart of Lafayette, Ind., were in Fostoiia last Thursday to visit E. M. Balmer who is convalescing following an operation. Harold Two Auto Tags For Cars Again In 1947 After four years of only one auto tag, the staate will provide two li cense plates for every motor vehicle in 1947, it was announced this week by State Highway Director Perry T. Ford.
