Mound street, now is serving1 with the famous First Cal vary division in its occupation of the Japanese capital. Overseas since May, 1946, Shu makker is assigned as a radio trans mitter operator with the First Sig nal troop of the division. Graham recently resigned his pastorate of the Church of Christ in Waynesville, Ohio to accept an invi tation to become pastor of the Church of Christ at McLeansboro, III., where i the family will move early in Janu ary. Announce Marriage Of Mary K. Risser Announcement was made this week of the marriage on November 30 of Miss Mary Katherine Risser, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James D. Risser, of Columbus Grove, to Rich ard Radabaugh, son of Mr. and Win ard Radabaugh, son of Mr. and Mrs. Win Radabaugh, of Ottawa. Mrs. Radabaugh was employed un til December at The Triplett Elec trical Instrument Co. here, following her graduation from Columbus Grove high school last spring. The couple will reside in Ottawa. Daughter Of Former Local Couple Injured Miss Carolyn Hardwick, 17, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Hard wick of Findlay, formerly of Bluff ton was injured in an automobile collision when another car failed to make a safety stop at a street in tersection in Findlay, Monday. She was taken to a physician’s office where four stitches were required to close a scalp wound. Her condition is not serious. Both machines sus tained extensive damage. Engagement Announced Mrs. Lenore Reagan of Kibler street announces the engagement of her daughter Clare to J. Doyle Dix, son of Melville Dix of Springfield. No date has been set for the wed ding. The bride-elect attended Bluff ton high school and Bowling Green university and is now employed in the offices of a Lima real estate firm. Mr. Dix who resides in Lima attend ed Shawnee high school and is em ployed by the Lima Locomotive works. He served with an army anti aircraft unit. Two Bluffton Men Get Rare New Coins Two Bluffton coin collectors were among the fortunate to receive Booker T. Washington commemora tive half-dollar coins when a limited number were placed in circulation last week by the Philadelphia mint. Those who received the commem orative coins here w’ere Dr. Evan Basinger and Aldine Kohli, both of whom have large coin collections. The Booker T. Washington half dollar bears the likeness of the noted educator and founder of Tuskegee Institute, Ala., on one side, and on the other the likeness of the log cabin in which he was born a slave, and the Hall of Fame to which he was elected last May. Isaac Hathaway, Negro sculptor and instructor at Tuskegee, designed the coin. Richard Bixel Officer Findlay Lions Club Richard Bjxel, formerly of Bluff ton, has been installed as a member of the board of directors of the Findlay Lions club in the installa tion of officers for that organization.
