Miss Sarah Jane Overholt of Me dina is spending the week at the home of her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Millen Geiger of South Lawn avenue. Mrs. Linda Fett of Bentley road spent the week end in Lima visiting her cousin, Mrs. Emma Roof and at tended the Fett reunion at Schoon over park. Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Ludwig of Poplar street attended the Koon family reunion at the home of Mrs. Elizabeth Hollinger in Bairdstown, Sunday. J. O. Mr. and Mrs. Lew Ricketts of Van Wert, Mr. and Mrs. Claud Reed of Delphos and Mr. and Mrs. Lon Rick etts of Bradenton, Fla., spent Sun day at the home of Mr. and Mrs. G. K. Bogart of Cherry street. Mrs. W. E. Diller of St. Louis, a former Bluffton resident accompanied by her little grandson Peter Diller III of Alameda, Calif., were week end guests of Mrs. M. M. Kibler while visiting friends here. Rev. and Mrs. Paul Cramer and family of North Jackson street are on a month’s motor trip thru the west. They will visit friends in Milwaukee, Duluth and Ames, Iowa going as far west as Yellowstone National park. Mr. and Mrs. Martin Koeck, Jr., and daughter, Mary Ann of Oshkosh, Wis., were guests at the Santschi home on East Kibler street during the past week. Mrs. Koeck and Mrs. Arthur Santschi are sisters. Mary Ann Koeck will remain here during the month of August. Rev. and Mrs. E. N. Bigelow and family of South Jackson street left Monday to spend the month of Au gust with Mrs. Bigelow’s parents, Rev. and Mrs. Ward Boyd of Fargo, North Dakota, at the latter’s sum mer home on a lake at Backus, Minn. Rev. and Mrs. George Klinefelter and daughter Mary Josephine of Mechanicsburg, Pa., spent the past week at the home of Mrs. Klinefelt er’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Niswander, north of Bluffton. Cox and family and Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Stettler were entertained at dinner at the home of Mrs. Edna Leiber, Tuesday. Mrs. Bessie Edgecomb spent the past w-eek with Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Fenty of Germantown, N. Y. and stopped over one day enroute home to visit Niagara Falls. Mr. and Mrs. P. C. Luginbuhl of Lakewood and daughters Edna of New York city and Kathryn of Washington spent the week end with Sam Luginbuhl and Alice Balmer. Mr. and Mrs. Amos Suter are spending their vacation with Mr. and Mrs. James Scheidt in Toledo and also will spend several days in Detroit. Miss Beverly Biery returned Tues day after spending a month at West Falmouth, Mass, on Cape Cod, and New York City. Miss Gwen Kay Eichenbarger of Toledo spent the past week at the home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hahn of West Elm street. Miss Mary Margaret Basinger, a student in Wooster college summer school has returned to her home here following the close of the summer term. Junior Nine Will Play Here Tuesday Bluffton Junior baseball team will play three games during the next week, only one of which will be on the home field. The locals will meet Vaughnsville at the College baseball diamond next Tuesday evening, after playing Find lay here on Thursday and Huntsville at that place, Saturday. In games of the last week, the Juniors dropped decisions to Findlay, 10 to 3 Gomer, 3 to 0, and Cairo, 9 to 6. In the Findlay contest Schmidt hurled seven-hit ball for Bluffton, but 11 errors contributed to the downfall of his team. Jim Badertscher gave up only two hits against Gomer, neither of which contributed to the scoring, but Bluff ton let in three Gomel’ runs after five innings of scoreless ball to go down to defeat. Graveside Services Are Held For Twins Darlene Kay and Marlene Fay, in fant twin daughters of Mr. and Mrs. George Smith of Lafayette died at Bluffton hospital, Thursday shortly after birth. Graveside services were held in Lafayette cemetery Friday afternoon with Rev. Arthur officiating. Surviving besides the parents are one sister, Marylin Joan and three brothers, George Junior, Charles Eli and Gary Eugene together with the grandparents, Eli Smith of La fayette and Mr. and Mrs. Geo.
