Mrs. Klein is a daughter of the late Mrs. Emma Young Erschick, an early Bluffton resident. Mr. and Mrs. Francis Wilson of Piqua and Mrs. Charles Braganzer of Col. Grove called on Mrs. Roscoe Blakesley at the Bluffton hospital, Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Rixie and son and daughter of Indianapolis are visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. M. S. Hixon" south of Bluffton on the county line road. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Wilch and daughter Genie Marie attended the All-star football gpme at Canton, Friday evening and motored to Ce dar Point on Lake Erie for the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Don Crites, Mrs. James Clark and son Stevie and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Clark were in Cleve land, Sunday visiting James Clark who is a surgical patient in the Cleveland clinic. Don Fritchie stationed at the naval training school at Great Lakes, Ill., is home spending a two weeks’ leave. Following completion of his training at Great Lakes he expects to attend a navy radio school. Rev. and Mrs. Paul Cramer and family, who returned the first of the week from a motor trip to Yel lowstone National park will leave soon for Lakeside to spend the re mainder of August. Mr. and Mrs. Amos Suter of this place and Mr. and Mrs. Lavaun Geiger and family of Washington Grove, Md., were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Llewellyn Geiger in Pandora, Friday. Mrs. Blanche Roberts of Columbus Grove and Mrs. Marguerite Klein of Tampa, Fla., were week end guests of Mrs. Ella McHenry of North Main street. On Sunday evening they called on Mr. and Mrs. Emery Ro stofer and little Johnny Schmidt near DeGraff. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Deerhake and son Donnie, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Nique and sons of Mt. Blanchard, Mrs. Frank Armbrecht and family of Mt. Cory and Mrs. Bertha Matter and Rolland Matter enjoyed a family picnic at Toledo park, Sunday. Home made ice cream, chicken, sandwiches, pie, cake, watermelon and coffee will be served at an ice cream social at Paulding Center (Rayl) schoolhouse, this Thursday evening, Aug. 21. Bixel, Bluffton optometrist has returned from Detroit where he underwent an operation for cataract of the right eye in a hospital two weeks ago.
