Bluffton’s best showing was in the first quarter when the Pirates tai- lied eight points, but the end of the period found them trailing, 20 to 8, to be hopelessly out of the running that early in the tilt. Halftime score was 37 to 12, and at the close of the third period Del phos held a 56 to 17 advantage. Bluffton tallied only eight field goals in the tilt, while their foes were hitting 28 times. In the preliminary, however, Bluff ton reserves gained a 27 to 17 vic tory, after leading all the way, ex cept for the first quarter.
