Marshall attended a meeting of he Ohio State U. Mothers’ club held in Lima last Monday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Huber spent one evening last week in the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Althaus. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Winchester of Chicago, who were called to Ohio by the serious illness of Mr. Win chester’s father, were guests of Mrs. Walter Cupp several days the past week. Mrs. Orlo Marshall has been num bered with the sick with a stomach ailment and rheumatism. Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Neuensch wander returned home Saturday eve from a three week trip to the west, visiting friends and relatives and at tending the Live Stock show in Den ver, Colo. The final meeting of the School of Missions at the Presbyterian church which has been in progress for three Sunday evenings, will come to a close Sunday night with a covered dish dinner at 6:45 followed by the last chapters of the study book. In spite of the cold weather there has been a good attendance. Mr. and Mrs. William Althaus and Mr. J. O. Cupp were in Ohio City Thursday afternoon to attend funeral services for Mr. Ray High, one of the directors of the Midwest Electric of St. Marys. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Marshall in company with Mr. and Mrs. John Lemley of Findlay, attended Holiday on Ice in Toledo last Thursday eve. Mr. and Mrs. William Cupp are preparing to move into the Mrs. Walter Cupp home where all will re side u itil the vacant house is re modeled. A number of groups have been holding skating parties. Ohio’s total 4-H club enrollment in 1947 was 55,578 boys and girls, a gain of 4,512 from 1946. State club leader W. H. Palmer believes many thousands of rural youth miss the benefits of 4-H club work because a lot of committees lack a local leader who will organize the clubs and supervise their work.
