Morton Dorsey, of Chicago, an evangelist since he was 14 years old, will conduct an old-fashioned re vival crusade opening this Thursday night in the Pandora Missionary church. Revival services will be held each evening during the series, starting at 7:45 p. m. Inspirational singing by the congregation and special va riety numbers also will feature each Lightning Bolt Fires Church In Mt. Cory A stubbi which threat Mt. Cory Methi was extingui by the Union township fire depart ment in a two-hour battle last Fri day night, after the belfry of the structure had been struck by light ning. Fire damage to the church was confined almost entirely to the belfry through the efforts of the fire de partment. Prompt sounding of the alarm helped in the battle to save the church, for firemen were called im mediately when Robert Moyer, one mile west of Mt. Cory, saw a light ning bolt strike the belfry at 9:30 p. m. during an electrical storm. Bluffton Boy Scouts Hold Charter Night The Bluffton Boy Scouts, troop 56, held their ninth charter night pro gram in the Presbyterian church Monday evening. The evening consisted of a potluck supper, followed by the presentation of the charter and badges to mem bers of the troop, and the regular program. All scouts, parents of scouts, and troop committeemen were invited to attend with approximately 60 persons present. The charter was presented to the troop by Rev. V. C. Oppermann, neighborhood commissioner, who also presented the membership cards to the scouts. Many scouts were sented with promotion badges year pins for attendance in club for one year. The theme day is “Making Christ Known to the World.” Registration begins at 10:15 o’clock with the first wor ship service at 10:30. The program is divided into three parts. The morning session will be practical seeking to exchange pro gram ideas. A Missionary Quiz will be led by Mrs. Emmett Augsburger. Mrs. J. S. Schultz will speak on “Answers to Prayer in the Relief Cutting Rooms.” Then each society will tell of their most interesting project of the year. The noon meal will be a covered dish dinner at 12 o’clock. At this time, the foreign students and Men’s Gospel team from the college will be guests. A literature table will also be featured during this time. The afternoon session w’ill be in spirational. Music will be given bv the Men’s Gospel Team of the Col lege.
