L. Trip- lett, Bluffton, at three o’clock Sun day aft(jrnoon. Rev. I"orrest Lance, Sterling, Ohio, e of the bride, officiated. Vases of oinkinium and fernery completed the decc rations for the church altar which was lighted by tapers in candelabra. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of heavy white satin styled with fitted bodice, lace edged net yoke, long sleeves, and a hoop skirt. Her finger tip veil was of French illusion. She carried a bouquet of white roses centered with a white orchid. Attendants for the bride were her sister, Miss Marlys Hoover, Ritt man, the maid of honor, and Miss Barbara Jean Triplett, Bluffton, and Miss Jeremy Brintlinger, Wads worth, as bridesmaids. The attendants were dressed alike in pale green net over taffeta fash ioned in colonial style. Their colon ial bouquets were of mixed flowers, with matching floral headbands in their hair. Bettye Jayne Lance, flower girl, wore white nylon and taffeta, and Denny Lance, the ringbearer, was dressed in a black velvet coat and white trousers. Ropp Triplett, Bluffton, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Ush ers were Charles Schumacher, and Harold Wright, both of Akron. Miss Alice Oyer sang “Ave Maria’’ and “The Lord’s Prayer” for the program of nuptial music, accompan ied by Miss Marguerite Jones of Vaughnsville. At the reception in the church following the ceremony, assistant hostesses were Mrs. Ropp Triplett, the Misses Phyllis, Marjorie and An nabelle Hoover, and Miss Virginia Lance. Mrs. Hoover greeted her guests in a white crepe dress trim med with black print, with white ac cessories. Mrs. Triplett chose a deli cate pink crepe dress with match ing hat. Both had orchid corsages. The bride is a graduate of Bluff ton college and taught for one year at a boarding school in Busby, Mon tana. Mr. Triplett was graduated from the University of Cincinnati where he was a member of Eta Kappa Nu, honorary electrical engineers’ fra ternity. He served 39 months in the army with 18 months service as a second lieutenant in the signal corps in the European theatre. He is an electrical engineer with the Triplett Electrical Instrument com pany at Bluffton. Irene Poe Mission Worker In Beirut Miss Irene Poe, a former student at Bluffton college, arrived recently at Beirut, Iraq, where she will en ter the missionary field under the direction of the World Wide Evan gelistic Interdenominational associa tion. She sailed from New York City on June 11. Miss Poe is the daughter of Mrs. Webster Ewing, of McComb, and in addition to attending college here was enrolled at Toledo university and Detroit university. To further her training for Middle East mission work, she has worked among the Jews in New York City. Wheat Is Harvested. On “Lord’s Acres” “Lord’s Acres” wheat fields in Perry township were harvested last Saturday afternoon by members of the Olive Chapel Methodist church, which will receive all proceeds from sale of the grain. Using seven combines on 24 acres, workers completed the harvest on Monday. Last spring the congrega tion planted the wheat on land do nated by Mrs. Nellie Kerr. This is the fourth year a crop has been har vested on the land for the church.
