THURSDAY, JULY 22, 1948 Because of rain Monday evening of last week, the jinxed church league remained jinxed, and with the sum mer program two-thirds completed not one complete game has been played in the loop. For the last three weeks of the program, each team in the church league will play two games a week, weather permitting. PLEASE FOLLOW THE SCHEDULE IN THE PAPER CLOSELY. In men's doubles play, Howe then teamed with Robert Simcox to also cop the doubles title, defeating in the final round Dale Reichenbach and Woodrow Little, also of Bluffton. In winning his singles crown, Howe defeated Merle Atkins, of Carey, 6-3, 6-2, 6-0. The match score in the doubles final was 2-6, 10-8, 6-2, 6-4. riffle tt Team Will Play Three At Home Three home games will be played within the next week by the Triplett softball team, victor in nine of 11 contests prior to Tuesday night’s as signment against New Knoxville. Ada O. K. Mfrs, are scheduled for a tilt this Thursday under the Harmon field lights. On the following night, the Trip lett crew will seek revenge from a 7 to 2 defeat meted out by Findlay Ohio Oil at Findlay last Sunday, when the locals entertain the Oilers here. Next Tuesday, the Triplett crew will play Fostoria K. of C. here, to round out a busy week.
