Marshall and Mr. and Mrs. John Burkholder motored to Wooster Sunday where they spent the day with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Barnett and children David and Jayne. David returned home with them for a visit with his grandparents. Mrs. Coy Kohli of Columbus Grove, a former resident of this place, recently underwent an ap pendectomy at Memorial Hospital in Lima. W’e were informed that the Kohlis were on a vacation in Cana da when Mrs. Kohli took sick. Mrs. Delmer Reagan and little son Randy and Mrs. Treet of Dayton and Mrs. Henry Wilson of Columbus were Thursday guests of Mr. and Mrs. D. C. Campbell. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Cummins and family spent the past week on a trip to Niagara Falls, N. Y. Miss Rebecca Marshall left last Monday with a group of friends for a trip through the Canadian Rockies, then down the coast to California and home via Grand Canyon. Miss Madeline Bixel who recently underwent a thyroid gland operation at Mercy hospital in Toledo was not released from the hospital until last Saturday, rather than the first of the week as stated in our items last week. She is now with a friend at 609 Wallace Ave., in Bowling Green. Miss Edythe Cupp attended a meeting of the Chatauqua Club in the home of Mrs. Verna Rouse in Lima one evening last week. The affair was a farewell for Mrs. Robert Looma who has been a teacher in the Lima schools. Mrs. Lysle Cahill and daughter Lynne of Cleveland are expected here the latter part of the week for a visit in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Orlo Marshall. Mrs. Cahill reports that practically all of their stolen property was recovered the past week. Mrs. Mary Sylvester spent several days the past week with her daugh ter, Mrs. Dennis Roby and family. The Presbyterian Missionary society will meet Wednesday after noon of next week with Mrs. John Burkholder. The program includes, devotions, Mrs. Edgar Begg topic, Leadership Training, Miss Edythe Cupp Y. B. P., Mrs. Orlo Marshall. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hostettler and granddaughter Jean Lee of Mansfield called on Mr. and Mrs. Orlo Marshall, Sunday afternoon. Farm Bureau Council No. 12 will hold their annual picnic at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Freet, Sun day evening, August 8 at 7 o’clock.
