Funeral services were held at the residence Wednsday aftrnoon. Offi ciating was Rev. H. J. Sheidemantle, pastor of the Columbus Grove Pres byterian church of which she was a member. Burial w-as in Pandora cemetery. She was born near Pandora, a daughter of David and Margaret (Krohn) Risser. Brothers and sisters surviving are: Mrs. Minnie Basinger, Colum bus Grove Louis 'and Miss Lena Risser, both of Pandora. Three brothers and a sister preceded her in death. Putnam County Judge Succumbs Funehral services for William George, 81-year-old judge of the Putnam county probate court were held at the Pope Memorial chapel, Ottawa, Sunday followed by burial in the Belmore cemetery. Judge George died Friday after noon at the home of a daughter, Mrs. J. C. Brown in Belmore, fol lowing a week’s illness. Cause of death was cerebral hemorrhage. He served as judge of the probate court since 1925 and had been re-elected Nov. 2 for another term. Surviving are four sons and three daughters, one of the latter, Delia, being the wife of Aaron Murray, a Bluffton native, now superintendent of Washington Court House schools. Rawson Fire Basis Of Damage Suit An explosion that allegedly caused a fire destroying his restaurant business and personal property is the basis of a $7,858.14 judgment action brought in Hancock county common pleas court last week by Edward Pahl, of Findlay, against Clark Frazier, Rawson. Pahl’s restaurant, located at the southeast corner of the junction of the Rawson road and the Dixie high way, burned last Feb. 4, according to the petition. In the suit, Pahl alleges that the boiler which heated the building was defective, and that Frazier and an employe attempted to repair it, al though they were not qualified as repairmen. Epp, director of the “Back to the Bible” broadcast which originates in Lincoln, Nebraska, will be speaking at the St. John Men nonite Church beginning Sunday morning, and continuing through the week to Sunday, Dec. 5, except Sat urday night. He will also speak at 10:00 a. m. Tuesday through Friday in a morning Bible Study on the subject, “The Holy Spirit.” The public is invited to all of these meet ings. Rev. Epp will be the guest speaker of the Youth for Christ Rally this coming Saturday evening at 7:80, in the Pandora high school gym. The Back to the Bible broadcast, in its tenth year of Gospel broad casting, is now being released weekly over 300 radio outlets, giving prac tically world-wide coverage and an estimated radio audience of 1,000,000 listeners daily. In addition to this, the Broadcast Association is support ing 63 full-time missionaries and is publishing two monthly papers, “Good News Broadcaster” and “Young Ambassador” with a com bined circulation of 100,000 a month. Last Rites For Infant Daughter Graveside services for infant Mary Ruth Sellers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Sellers, Jenera, Rt. i 1, were held Saturday afternoon in St. Matthew’s cemetery, Cridersville, The child died nine hours after birth in Bluffton Community hospital. (SOHjO) Guaranteed Starting Mrs. Nora Eckenwiler Rites Held Sunday Funeral services *were held Sun day afternoon in the Beaverdam Methodist church for Mrs. Nora Belle Eckenwiler, 81, who died early last Friday morning at her home in Beaverdam. She was the mother of Mrs. Wil bur Potee, Bluffton. Other survivors include the fol lowing children, Herman, Columbus Fernon, Detroit Roy V. and Harold of Beaverdam, and Mrs. Eva Holmes, Elida. In addition there is a sister, Mrs. Daisy Layton, Alger, and two broth ers, Roy Cowan, McGuffey, and John Cowan, Wapakoneta. There are 15 grandchildren and nine great-grand children. Mrs. Eckenwiler’s death came after she had been critically ill for three weeks from carcinoma. She was the widow of John Eck enwiler, who died in October, 1931. Mrs. Eckenwiler was a member of the Beaverdam Methodist church, where funeral services were held. Rev. L. Dow Fauver, the pastor, officiated. Burial was at Woodland cemetery, Beaverdam. Surprise Birthday Party A surprise party was enjoyed at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Neal Duffman, of North Lawn avenue, Monday afternoon in honor of the twelfth birthday anniversary of their daughter Peggy Joyce. Present were Sharon Fritchie, Mary Lou Lewis, Wawn Tripple horn, Sheila Burkholder, Carol Mathewson, Nancy Joseph, Nedra Lanham, Barbara Moser, Carolyn Shafer, Viola Moser, Lqis Lauby, Sue and Hope Duffman, Neal Duff man, Margo Zichafoose and the hon ored guest Peggy Joyce. Games and contests were followed by refreshments served by the host ess, Beverly Duffman and Mrs. Neal Duffman.
