One of the busiest pheasant seasons since the end of the war comes to a close this Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, at 4 p. m. It is the general opinion that this season ranks very close in number of hunters to the peak year of 1939 for the Bluffton area. Many out-of-town hunters migrated to this area since the season opened November 15. Local hotel and rooming establishments were rushed and restauranteurs kept busy serving the influx of gamesters. Many of the hunters were disappoint ed with hunting this year, as the increase in birds did not keep pace with the proportion of hunters.
