Mr. and Mrs. Everett Cumrine were Sunday dinner guests of the former’s mother Mrs. Emma Cum rine in Lima. Mrs. Adah Hall has returned from I Delaware where she spent two weeks with her sister Mrs. Nellie Osborne. The Aid society of the County Line church met all day Thursday with Mrs. Lee Rails. 24 members were present. The day wes spent in relief sewing and also sewing for the Zimmerman family. Mrs. Oscar May was a substitute teacher the past week for Miss Georgia Fackler who is ill. Mr. and Mrs Oren Shaw were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Hedges. Mrs. Hedges was re moved Sunday evening to Memorial hospital as a medical patient. Mr. and Mrs. Lew Roberts called Sunday afternoon on Jacob Fetter and family. Armorsville Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Mr. Robert Barnett of Wooster spent the week end in the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Marshall. His wife and two children who spent the week in the Marshall home, returned home with him. Mrs. Thomas Foulkes spent several days last week in Memorial Hospital in Lima for observation. She has been bedfast with a heart ailment for several weeks. Mrs. Luella Van Atta will be hostess Thursday afternoon of next week to the W. S. C. S. of the Meth odist church for the March program which follows^ Worship service, Mrs. Clarence Downing Program leader, Mrs. Ed Dunlap Special feature, Mi's. Howard Beery. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Cook of Beaver dam are spending a ten day vacation with Mr. and Mrs. Donald Van Meter of Chardon and Mr. Homer Cook of East Orwell. An all day meeting with covered dish dinner at the noon hour, was held in the home of Mrs. Lewis Van Meter last Wednesday with Miss Edna Ramseyer, home furnishings director at Ohio State University demonstrating the use of “Colors in the Home” for Allen County Home Demonstration council members. Later the council members will give demonstrations in their home town ships. Funeral services for Miss Auta Keller who was found dead in her Lima home last Monday following a paralytic stroke, were held in the Hartman Sons funeral home in Col. Grove last Wednesday afternoon with interment in Rockport cemetery. Miss Keller came to this community with her parents, from Virginia, in her early womanhood and resided' here for many years before going to Lima to live. Besides her sister Emma of Route 2, Lima, she leaves a brother John and a sister Mrs. Luella Van Atta of this community. Mrs. Herbert Marshall will open her home to members of the Profit and Pleasure Club for the March meeting which will be held Wednes day afternoon of next week. Mrs. Francis Marshall will review “Dis covery” by V. Chase and Mi's. Byron McDowell will give “Over the Garden Fence” by Reis. The assigned topics will be given for roll call. The Cook sisters and their hus bands which includes: Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Freet, Mr. and Mrs. Cloyce Kidd, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Fruchey and Mr. and Mrs. Chris Gratz cele brated their wedding anniversaries with a dinner at a Columbus Grove restaurant Monday evening. It was also the birthday anniversary’ of Mrs. Gratz. Although the sisters all chose March 7 as their wedding date and all were married by the same min-| ister Rev. J. F. Snodgrass of the Methodist church all were married in different years. Cards have been received announc ing the annual meeting of the Putnam County Livestock Coopera tive Association which will be held at the Columbus Grove School Audi torium Wednesday evening March 9. There will be a speaker, entertain ment and refreshments. A number of interested persons from this com munity will attend. The annual meeting of the Midwest Electric Inc. was held in Memorial High school in St. Marys, Tuesday afternoon of last week. Urban Raun is the president and J. 0. Cupp, a local man, is Vice president. Election of trustees was a highlight of the meeting. Three were elected which included: J. L. Reidenbach, Dist. 3 William.. Althaus, Dist. 2 and Urban Rauh, Dist. 4. Thomas P. Meehan, manager of the cooperative, reported that Midwest has 1,100 miles of electric lines in this 31*63. They ex tend 48 miles north and south and 46 miles east and west. 98 percent of Ohio’s rura 1 homes now get electric power. 3600 consumers are served by Midwest. Service has been greatly improved the past year and outages were few during the winter. Many people in this area will be more interested in the “Lady Lucky” a B-50, and her flight around the world, when they learn that the blue prints were drawn in the office of Delmer Reagan, chief engineer for the B-50 at Wright Field in Dayton. He made several trips to the Boeing Aircraft Co. in Seattle, Wash., while it was under construction. Reagan is the son of Mr. and Mrs. “Billy” Reagan of near Beaverdam and son in-law of Mr. and Mrs. D. C. Camp bell. The Rev. H. Klahr, Exec. Secretary of the Synod of Ohio, of Columbus will be guest minister at the Presby terian church Sunday morning. A good attendance is desired.
