Easter Sunday Church Wedding Miss Elnora Basinger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Homer Basinger of Pandora and James Stratton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Stratton of Bluffton were married in a double ring ceremony in the Lutheran church here Easter Sunday after noon with Rev. V. T. Monk, the pastor, officiating. The ceremony took place before a background of white carnations and snapdragons and lighted candelabra. A program of nuptial organ music was played by Miss Eulalia Steiner of Pandora. Selections included To a Wild Rose, Largo, The Sweetest Story Ever Told, Because, Ah, Sweet Mystery of Life, Bless This House, Oh, Perfect Love and the traditional wedding marches. The bride, given in marriage by her brother, Wallace Basinger of Pandora wore a white satin gown with five point veil of illusion. Her bouquet was white gardenias and white carnations tied with satin streamers. Attendants were Miss Nettie Mae Basinger of Findlay, sister of the bride and matron of honor in a gown of ice blud satin and Miss Marilyn Stratton of Bluffton, sister of the groom, as bridesmaid in pink satin. Robert Stratton of Bluffton was best man and ushers were Wm. Fer rell of Lima and Wesley Sommer of Bluffton. Following the wedding a reception was held in the community room of the Pandora school after which the couple left on a wedding trip thru the south. The biide'is assistant superintend ent in Bluffton hospital and will con tinue her work here. She is a grad uate of Pandora high school and Ohio State university school of nurs ing. The groom was graduated from Bluffton high school and served three years in the navy with souse over seas duty. He is now studying to become a florist. Welch And Gilbert Nuptials Solemnized In a double ring ceremony at the home of Rev. E. T. Shepard in Ben ton Ridge, took place the wedding of Miss Donna Welch, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Welch of Rawson and Eugene Gilbert, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Gilbert of Bluffton, Wednes day, April 20 at 7 p. m. Attending the couple were Miss Coleen Dangler and Ivan Marquart. The couple returned to Bluffton this week from a wedding trip to the Great Smokey mountains and are at home at 171 North Jackson street. The bride is a graduate of Ham ler high school and is employed at the glove factory and the groom, a graduate of Mt. Cory high school, is employed by the Nickel Plate road here. Hutchinson, magician, who will appear in the Music and Magic entertainment at the high school auditorium next Tuesday night at 8 o’clock. Miss Lucille Steiner, daughter of Enos Steiner of Bluffton, be came the bride of Geo. W. Rummel of Ray, Ind., son of G. F. Rummel of Coldwater, Mich., in a double ring ceremony in the Missionary church here Easter Sunday afternoon. Rev. Robert Welch officiated. Preceding the ceremony was a pro gram of wedding music by Mr. and Mrs. Carey Steiner and Mrs. Sam uel Fowler. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a dusty rose suit with white and black accessories and white rose corsage. Attendants were Miss Joan Stein er, niece of the bride and Gene Rummel, Milroy, Ind. A reception for immediate fami lies was held at the home of the bride’s father. Assisting in serving were Mrs. Irvin Steiner, Mrs. Geo. Manges, Mrs. Naomi Steiner, Mrs. Ray Steiner and Miss Julia Steiner.
