Rowley and twin sons of Cleveland, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. George Decker Saturday and Sunday. A recent wedding of much inter est was the marriage of Miss Anna Ruth Lehman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Lehman of Pandora to Dale Reichenbach, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Reichenbach of Pandora, at the St. John Mennonite parsonage by Rev. Frank Harder Saturday evening, April 16. A reception fol lowed at the home of the bride s parents. The newlyweds after a short wedding trip will reside in Bluffton where Mr. Reichenbach is a clerk at the Citizens National bank. The marriage of Miss Eula Loch er, daugter of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Locher of Pandora to Maurice E. Fett, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Fett of Bluffton, will take place at the Grace Mennonite church, Sun day, May 1. The ladies who had charge of the rummage sale at Lima Saturday were so pleased with their effort that the Federated clubs expect to sponsor another sale next fall. Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Collar of Vaughnsville were guests at the Decker home over the week end. Rev. John Amstutz of Wayne county, Miss Mary Elizabeth Am stutz, teacher at Ashland and Mrs. S. F. Pannabecker of Chicago called on Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Steiner Sat urday afternoon. Mr. Steiner was Mrs. Pannabecker’s first teacher in her home school near Dalton. She was then known as Sylvia Tschantz, her parents being Mr. and Mrs. John Tschantz prominent farmers of that community. Mrs. Dave Bixler of Bluffton is a half-sister of Mrs. Pannabecker being the former Dora Tschantz. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Krohn and sons Robert and James of Chicago are spending this week with their mother Mrs. R. A. Krohn. Mrs. Aaron Hilty entertained the 4-H club known as the Ladder Climbers at her home Wednesday afternoon. Officers for the P. T. Miss Steiner, a sister of Mr. Steiner, was a graduate nurse of Lakeside hospital, Cleveland in 1911. She was in public health work, private duty and for 27 years head nurse at the National Carbon company at Cleveland. Since her retirement from that organization she has been doing part time private nursing. Richard Frantz, local painter and decorater, has put up a very decor ative board fence to the rear of his paint store and residence which adds greatly to the appearance of his property. The new Chaney residence near the Russell factory adds greatly to the appearance of that part of Pan dora. It also shows too wha"t the remodeling of a house can do to any street. Several farms in this vicinity, the H. R. Schutz farm north of Pan dora, the Francis Nusbaum home on the Ray Sheidler farm northwest of Pandora, George Basinger and sons on route 12 southwest of Pandora and others will be visited on the annual Putnam County Beef Cattle Feeders tour Wednesday, April 27. Extension specialists and market men along on this trip makes it an esepcially interesting day for cattle feeders. Mr. and Mrs. M. I. Trostle and Mr. and Mrs. L. Shirl Hatfield spent Friday in Cleveland. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Reese, Mrs. J. C. Reese and Miss Harriet Krohn were afternoon and evening visitors at the Dr. Waldo Suter home in Waterville, Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. George Thomas and two little sons of Detroit, were visi tors at the Elmer Burry home sev eral days last week. Mrs. Burry and Mrs. Thomas are daughters of the late P. D. Amstutz the second superintendent of the Pandora schools. Rockport Miss Rebecca Marshall returned to her teaching in the Elkhart Indiana schools, Monday, after spending a ten d'ay vacation with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Marshall. Mr. and Mrs. Guy Mayberry and daughter Joan and Mrs. F. R. Mason were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Westenbarger in Vaughnsville. Miss Marjorie Cupp, a student at Bowling Green University was a week end guest of her mother, Mrs. Walter Cupp. Mrs. W. E. Marshall was among the members of Bluffton Chapter O. E. S. last Friday evening. Mr. and Mrs. D. C. Campbell were Sunday guests of their son-in-law I and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Delmer I Reagan and son Randy in Dayton. I Mrs. Helen Worthington of Bluff- I ton was a Sunday evening supper guest of Mr. and Mrs. Orlo Marshall. Miss E'dythe Cupp entertained the Chautauqua Club of Lima last Mon day evening. William Cupp and son Kenneth were Sunday dinner guests of Mrs. Walter Cupp. Mr. Whited of Lima and Mr. M. I. Trostle of Pandora appeared at the local churches Sunday morning in the interest of the Gideons. The Gideons are doing a very fine work and at the present time are distribut ing more than three million Bibles a year. They started in 1908 with the presentation of 25 Bibles to hotels now their work is World Wide. Irvin Baumgartner of this com munity was selected as one of the delegates from the First Mennonite church in Bluffton to attend the Middle District Conference which was held in Pandora the latter part of last week. Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Amstutz who have been in Bluffton hospital for several weeks are reported to be im proving. Sunday will be the 45th annivers ary of the dedication of the Rockport Presbyterian church which was dedi cated during the pastorate of the Rev. John Todd on May 1, 1904. Many of our readers have happy memories of the occasion. Robert Marshal! has returned to Oberlin College where he is a senior, after spending the spring vacation with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. C.
