Dated this 3rd day of May 1949. 6 Probate Judge Amplifier Station Building Nears Completion on Mot ter Farm Near Bluffton Ditching Machines Working In Tandem Will Lay Cable In This District Laying of the underground tele vision cable connecting Toledo and Cincinnati, route of which skirts Bluffton at the western boundary of the town, has started at Dayton and will continue northward juncture is made with west lines in Toledo, nounced this week. Underground cable will be buried by two trenching machines, coupled in tandem, to a depth of about four feet. Trench for the cable will be about 20 inches wide and 42 inches deep. Completion of the structure is ex pected this month, after which work on the project will await the arrival of cable-laying crews, working north ward from Dayton. Renew Signals The repeater building being con structed near Bluffton is required because the strength of electrical currents carrying conversations or television programs through coaxial cables diminishes rapidly. The sig nals must be renewed by amplifica tion about every eight miles. THE BLUFFTON NEWS, BLUFFTON, OHIO Bluffton High’s last bid for a base ball victory in a dismal season will be made this Friday afternoon on the Harmon field diamond in a tilt with Lima St. Gerard. In an earlier tilt with the Gerries, the Pirates showed their best form of the year and battled the Lima Bluffton college baseball team will play Findlay here next Tuesday in the next to the last home game of the season for the Beavers with the exception of the annual alumni tilt during commencement week. In two games last week, the Reav ers lost to Toledo university, 6 to 5, and to Ohio Northern university, 11 to 6.
