Bluffton and Pandora clubs held a
joint meeting Wednesday night at
the home of Marilyn Amstutz. The
evening was spent in playing games
and hayride followed with a talk by
Mary Gallagher.
October Wedding
Noah Hochstettler and Miss Marie
Tmbach announce he engagement and
approaching marriage of their daugh
ter and niece respectively, Miss Lo
rena Marie Hochstettler to Kenneth
Leedy, son of John H. Leedy of
Lima. The invitational wedding will
take place Sunday, October 2 in the
Evangelical Mennonite church.

ment of their daughter, Marilyn Jean
to Paul Eugene Diller, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Waldo Diller of Lima Rt. 5.
The bride elect is employed in
Lima and Mr. Diller is employed by
the Sylvania Electric company, Otta
wa. No date has been set for the
wedding.
Bethesda Societies
W. S. W. S. and L. A. S. met at
the home of Mrs. Lawrence Urban of
Findlay for the September meeting
and basket dinner. The afternoon
program topic was stewardship, with
scripture reading by Mrs. N. M.
Hiestand and prayer by Mrs. Will
Beagle, followed by a talk by Miss
Shock, religious education teacher in
the county schools. The October
meeting will be held at the home of
Mrs. Freeman Basinger.
Mennonite Brotherhood
The First Mennonite church Broth
erhood will entertain men of Bluffton
college at a get-acquainted picnic at
Sportsmen’s park next Monday night.
Delta Kappa Gamma
Delta Kappa Gamma opened the
year’s meeting with a lunchon at the
Kirwin hotel, Lima, Saturday noon
with 23 members present. Lucile
Ritchie, retiring president, conducted
initiation ceremonies.

lations prefacing the afternoon’s pro
