Funeral Wednesday For Will Huber Funeral services were held in the Methodist church Wednesday after noon for William W. Huber, 91, re tired farmer, who died Sunday after noon in Bluffton hospital. Death was due to infirmities of age together with a hip fracture and other injuries sustained in a fall in front of his home on Washington street three weeks previous. Funeral sendees were in charge of his pastor, Rev. I’aul Cramer and burial was in Maple Grove cemetery. Mr. Huber was a lifelong resident of this community, being born in Richland township, August 21, 1858, a son of Jacob and Anna (Deppler) Huber. He married Emma Greding, September 3, 1885. She died Jan. 3, 1948. He was a member of the Methodist church here. Surviving are two sons Earl C., of Ada and Clair M. of Findlay and a brother John T. Huber of Beaverdam. Also surviving are three grand children and five great grandchildren. Petition For Ditch In Richland Township Petition for construction of a ditch in Richland township has been filed with the Allen County com missioners by Evan Sommer and Eldon Tschiegg. THE BLUFFTON NEWS, BLUFFTON, OHIO Approval of the Schutz drainage ditch, benefiting some 200 property owners in four northern sections of Richland township as well as Riley and Blanchard townships has been approved by Alien and Putnam county commissioners following a joint hearing. The ditch was originally proposed a year ago last spring by Albert Schutz of Riley township. The over all length is 57,800 feet and cost of the project has been set tentatively a $10,558. Funds derived from assessments on property to be benefitted will go toward clearing, excavating and lev eling land for the project. Letting of contract will follow a waiting period of 25 days designated by state law. Hold Commencement Luncheon Monday Commencement luncheons, dropped during the war years, will be rein stated at Bluffton college this year following graduation exercises next Monday. The luncheon, open to the public, and final event of the 50th anniversary program will be held at Ropp Hall dining room at 12:15 p. m.
