Kasinger Over 100 Attend High School Alumni Dinner Attendance at the Bluffton high school alumni dinner went over the 100 mark last Friday night when tables at the cafeteria were filled by members of the graduating class, former graduates and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Nonnamaker and daughter Kaye of Orange town ship were Sunday dinner guests in the home of Nello Steinman of South Main street. Mr. and Mrs. Amos Suter were called to the home of her sister, Mrs. W. T. Marsh in Lima, following the death of the latter's husband who was struck by a Pennsylvania train at a crossing in that city Saturday night. Funeral services were held there Wednesday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Turner, Jr., of Harmon road visited Sunday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oswin Luginbuhl, of Allentown, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Woods of Detroit visited here over the week end and attended the high school alumni reunion, Friday night. Waldo Bixel of Portland, Oregon is visiting at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Bixel of South Main street. Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Coon and family of North Robison visited Sun day with Mrs. Lydia Badertscher and Milton Badertscher. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Steams of Spring street and their week end guests, Mrs. A. Poison Swallowed By Three-Year-Old Cheryl Yat^s, 3, granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Rupright, of Findlay, who formerly lived on Washington street in Bluffton, is in critical condition in Children’s hos pital, Columbus, after swallowing a commercial drain cleaning prepara tion in her home in Findlay Tues day of last week. She is the daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Yates. The tot was taken to the Colum bus hospital, after her condition be came critical the latter part of the week. She found the preparation in a cupboard at her home. THE BLUFFTON NEWS. Stengel of St. Louis announce "The coming wed ding of their daughter Shirley to Mark Diller, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarente Diller of Bluffton. The ceremony will take place Sat urday evening, June 10 in Hope Congregational church, St. Louis at 7:30 o’clock. The couple formerly at tended Wheaton college, Wheaton, Ill. Mr. Diller is now a student in Bowling Green State university from which he will be graduated in August. Church Wedding Wedding of Miss Carolyn Stonehill, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Stonehill and Richard Bucher, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sylvan Bucher of Lima will take place Saturday afternoon in the Methodist church here at 2:30 o’clock. Rev. Paul Cramer pastor of the church will officiate and the couple will be attended by Mr. and Mrs. Donald Ruggly of Lima. Following the ceremony a reception will be held at the home of the bride’s parents on South Main street from 3 to 5 o’clock. July Wedding Mr. and Mrs. Archie Diller of Bluffton announce the engagement of their daughter Cathryn Ann to James R. Kiene, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Kie»e of Pandora. The wedding will take place in St. Anthony’s church, Col. Grove, Sat urday morning, July 1 at 8:30 o’clock with Rev. Karl Finsel officiating. Both the bride-elect and bride groom are graduates of Pandora high school. She is employed at the Triplett plant here and he at the' Russell plant in Pandora and also engaged in farming. Main Ruggley Golden Wedding Sunday Mr. and Mrs. William Ruggley, 146 Thurman street, will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary next Sunday with a family dinner at noon followed by open house in the home from 2 to 6 p. m. Married June 3, 1900, Mr. and Mrs. Ruggley have lived in Bluffton for the last 44 years. Mrs. Ruggley, 72, is the former Dora Hall, of Lafayette, and Rug gley, 78, is a native of Orange town ship. Both are in very good health. They have four children: Mrs. Gusta Cheney, of Ada Mrs. Ethel Durck, at home Harold Ruggley, of Bluffton, and Donald Ruggley, of Lima. There are nine grandchild ren and six great-grandchildren. Anniversary Alumni Banquet Saturday Reminiscences of years of Bluffton college student activity will high light a Golden Anniversary alumni banquet at 5:30 p. m. Saturday in the Ropp hall dining room. Reflections on college activity over the years will be voiced at the session by D. W. Bixler, class of 1910 Wilmer Shelly, class of 1920 Harold Ruesser, class of 1925 Oliver Diller, class of 1930 and Donald Gundy, class of 1940. Also on he program will be re marks by President L. L.
