Out of town guests attending were Sidney Hauen stein and Miss Zoe Bently, of Bluffton. Walter Hilty sold his 80 acre farm to Walter Marshall for $110 an acre. M. M. Murray installed tools at his marble shop and is now doing his lettering with compressed air. Menno Bixel is doing considerable remodeling at his newly purchased home on Lawn avenue. John Watkins, wife and daughter, returned from Gillette, Arkansas, and expect to make their home in Bluffton again. TORNADO SWEEPS PATH OF DESTRUCTION THROUGH ORANGE TOWNSHIP (Concluded from page 1) storm really went to work in earnest, causing considerable damage at the Wayne Hauenstein and Harry Moore farms, on the county line road. It next hit a strip of woods on the Rayl farm, east of the Moore buildings. The tornado then left its heaviest aftermath of destruction at the A. J. Miller farm (formerly the John Klingler farm) and the William Hart man place. Woodlots Hard Hit Next hit was the Leland Sechler farm (formerly the Henry Wilch farm) and the tornado then moved on to Wright Klingler’s, next to the Paul Eikenbary farm (the former Battles place) and the Dan Krisch baum farm before blowing itself out on the Milton and Howard Benroth property. Heavy damage was in the Miller and Hartman woodlots where trees more than two feet in diameter were twisted off and others uprooted. Tops of most of the remaining stand ing trees were taken out by the high wind. This damage is only a few hundred yards southeast of the former Ewing school corner, which the storm barely missed. Mrs. Lavem Emerick entertained the Farm Womans Improvement club at her home on Thursday after noon. Mrs. Cora Huber and Mrs. Joy Huber, former members of the club were guests. The Hubers are moving from Hackensack, New Jer sey to Fort Worth, Texas. Miss Mary Beckwith and Mr. and Mrs. Clay Searfoss were Sunday evening supper guests at the Isaac Amstutz home. Bernard Gratz spent several days during the past week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Guy LaRue of Harrod. The Beaverdam 4-H club girls and their counselors Mrs. Wm. Reichen bach and Mrs. Kent Amstutz enjoyed a picnic and swimming party on Monday at the Columbus Grove pool.
