Rev. and Mrs. Payson Miller of Hartford, Conn., are visiting rela tives, Mrs. Miller spending the week at the home of her father N. W. Basinger of South Main street and Rev. OHIO Club$, \od^ei and Societies Edith Lahr Circle Anniversary The Edith Lahr Missionary circle of St. John’s Reformed church will hold a service Thursday night at 8 o’clock in the church marking the fiftieth anniversary of the organiza tion which was formed in April 1900. Mrs. Mary Frances Seagraves of Lima will be the guest speaker. Mrs. Seagraves, an Army nurse, was sta tioned in Japan with the occupation forces and will exhibit a collection of Japanese curios and articles in connection with her talk here. Everyone interested is invited to at tend the anniversary services and the social hour which follows in the church dining room. Edith Lahr, for whom the organ ization was named is the eldest daughter of Rev. and Mrs. W. H. Lahr of Harmon road. Rev. Lahr is a former pastor of the church here. Their daughter, is now Mrs. Homer Moser. She and her husband have been engaged extensively in agricultural mission work in South America and later in Mexico. Hadertscher-Heldman Nuptials Solemnized The Emmanuel Reformed church of Bluffton was the scene at half after 7 o’clock Friday evening of the marriage of Miss Norma Bader tscher, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Badertscher, Bluffton, to Matthew W. Heldman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Heldman, near Raw son. The Rev. V. C. Oppermann heard the exchange of vows before an altar decorated in tall baskets of pink gladioli and lighted candelabra. The immediate families of the couple were present. The bride wore a white brocaded taffeta street length dress with white accessories and a corsage of red roses, and earrings were groom. blue tinted carnations. Shields served as best man. The couple are taking a short wedding trip toi Niagara Falls and New York City. On their return they will reside on Huber street in Bluffton. Merle Mrs. Heldman is a graduate of Bluffton high school and is employed as secretary at the Clarence Diller insurance agency in Bluffton. Mr. Heldman served 18 months in 11th Airborne Division during war. He is employed at the the the Gar Wood Industries in Findlay.
