OPEN Basinger’s Furniture Store Forty-seven Years of Dependable Service THE BLUFFTON NEWS, BLUFFTON/ OHIO Seniors Sneak Despite Vigilant Junior Class Despite energetic “pre-sneak” ac tivities by a vigilant junior class which for a time looked as if the traditional Bluffton college senior sneak day might be thwarted, the upper classmen finally got away on schedule for their annual one-day holiday from the campus Tuesday of last week. After all seniors had succeeded in eluding pursuit, however, the group finally made a noisy departure thru the campus in a chartered bus, after they had been picked up at the homes of friends in the community. First stop in the tour was at Bowling Green where the seniors breakfasted. From there they continued to De troit where the day’s program in cluded visits to televisions shows, shopping centers, a trip to Canada, and an evening visit to see the Shakespearean flay, “As You Like It,” starring Catherine Hepburn. Tired but content, the seniors then left on the return trip to the cam pus, with the outing summed up in the words of one participant, “it was worth all the energy and plan ning.” Birthday Gathering Honoring the birthday anniver sary of Mrs. Leona Stettler a fam ily gathering and basket supper was held at the home of her son Mr. and Mrs. Leland Redick and family of Lima, Thursday evening.
