Mr. and Mrs. DeWitt Owen of Huron, Ohio were also present. Hi is family gathering brought together the first time in several years, all the children of Mrs. Laura Owens, Mrs. Mrs. Edith Banks and Mrs. Florence Hooper of California Mrs. of "Warren and Mrs. Lula Barclay in whose home the reunion was held, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hoehendon er of Pittsburgh and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Smith of Detroit left early Saturday on a three weeks Western motor trip, after spending the night with Mrs. M. Smith. Tommy *111 spend this tveek with his grand mother arid then return to Detroit to attend a church camp. Mrs. David West and two sons, who came last week remained for a longer stay. Cyrus Wood son of Dr. and Mrs. P. R. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hecs join CtJ a party of friends in.attending the ball game in Cleveland Friday night. Ira Sexton, who has been hospitalized is now in the home of his daugh ter with Mrs. Sexton, but suffering with an attack of Shingles. Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Rofkar of Toledo called on relatives Saturday. Mothers Club will meet Tuesday evening, July 10 with Mrs. Kenneth Owens. The first of a series of chicken suppers sponsored by the Dorcas Society will be Thursday, July 12 at the Chapel and Jii Chapel. Mrs. E. F. Later and Mrs. W. B. Grover have charge of arrangements and Mrs. J. C. West the dining room. Mrs. Bertha Lambert spent the past week in Canton with relatives and friends. An auto collision Involving two cars took place Saturday noon in front of the George Schafer home. Both were badly damaged. Miss Marion Kirk of Athens is convalescing in the home o fher sister Mrs. Robert Sharp after a mild case of pneumonia, during which she was hospitalized. It was the first nuptials in newly decorated church. One bridal couple was Barbara Jean Gonya and Gary Renwand. The other was Clayton Gonya Jr. and Virginia Cutcher, who were married a year ago in a civil cere mony, and remarried at Saturday's church nuptials. The Rev. Fr. Earl Schmit offi ciated at the double ceremony at 10:30 o'clock. Parents of Barbara and Clayton are Mr. and Mrs. Clay ton Gonya of Route 3. Gary is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Ren wand of Elmore. The two couples acted as attendants for one an other. The two brides wore powder bluo, ballerina length, with har monizing accessories and corsages of pink rosebuds. Mrs. Clayton Gonya Sr. wore a blue sheath frock of corded material, with red rose corsage. Mrs. John Renwand, who is a surgical patient at Toledo hos pital, was unable to attend her son's Wedding. A buffet dinner at tlis Gonya home followed the nuptials. The new Mr. and Mrs. Renwand are deferring their wedding trip till later and will live at Bellevue where the groom, who attended Klmore hiph school, is associated with the National Plastics Co. His bride attended PCHS. Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Gonya Jr. live at 210 IS. Second-st. BRIDGE CLUB Mrs. Henry Cowgill was hostess to her bridge club Tuesday after noon. A delicious dessert was serv ed prior to the games of cards. High scores were held by Mrs. Rdna Christiansen and Mrs. Joe livers. Co-hostesses for the shower were Miss Jane Reynolds and Mis Fran ces Roose, friends of the bride-to be. It was held at the Reynolds home on Elm street. Games of card Biifl?o and draw the groom were enjoyed by the guests with prizes going to Mrs. Leslie Branum, Mrs Roy Drick hamer and Mrs. Steve Kosztyo. A delicious buffet lunch was served from a table beautifully decorated with a pink and white umbrella center piece, flanked by lighted white tapers. The ladies ate their lunch in the soft glow of candle light. COUPLE CLUB A couples card club met June 23 and instead of playing cards they went to Toledo for an outing. Dinner was first enjoyed at the Sherbrook Restaurant, then the club members went to Centenniel Terrace for an evening of dancing.
