I have been reluetlantly obliged to
ask explanation or satisfaction for
national injuries committed by the
i'reaidentof Hayti. The political
ad social conditiou of tha republic
of Hayti an4 St. Domingo, are very
unsatisfactory and painful. The ab

bea followed by a profound popular

however, to establish Republics

THE HAWAIIN KINGDOM.
The attention of tho Senato and of

the llawaiiu Kingdom, entered into
last year and already ratified by that

is not very different from that in
which they stand towards tha West
