Sheriff Bryant received a tulojjram Snturduy from Jackson, Mich., an nouncing tlto capture of GcorRo Sheets, ono of tho prisoners who ascaped from tho Wood county jail. Tho ShorilT mint after him Monday nnd brought him back to Bowling Green, whoro ho now awaits u trip to tho pen. Shoots had been camping in tho woods witii his brother and tho polico hud boon watching him for sovoral weeks until they woro satislled ho was tho man who had boon engaged In sovoral robberies in that locality. The attonMou of tho reader is direct cd to an olllcial notice to tho people o Perrysburg School District No. 1 pub lished elsowhcro that nil school chil drcn must bo viiccinatod on or before tho ninth day of .Tniuiary, 1804, and no scholar will bo permitted to enter tho public schools unless thoy aro provid ed with a certificate of successful vac cination signed by a physician. Tho Stuto&oard of Health have notified tho'Perrysburg Board that this law .must be complied with, and turthcr says thoro is great danger of an opldem lie of email pox in Ohio this year, un less tho people resort to vaccination. Tho (various lodges of Perrysburg whoso annual installations of officers usually 'Occur during tho first week of dtuiiiutvy, have decided to hold private iiiHialluMiii! this year, believing that tin: ithmi'V iiiiially spoilt on such oc .Misiuiin i:mtltl be moro appropriately mm! in caring for the ooor who may be within our gates. As yet tlicro have not beou many eiisiis of suffering re ported, ami thoso who aro known to bo destitute have received help from kind friends. Tho Winter has but just com menced and before Spring comes thero will undoubtedly bo many families who will gratefully receive a littlo help. This action on tho part of tho lodges is very commendable. Perrysburg is not a largo city, but there are, no doubt, a few families within our village who uro in need of i many of the necessaries of lifo. Sev eral cases havo come to our notico and thoro are undoubtedly muuy moro. Our villago merchants havo kindly contrib uted toward helping a number of such pcoplo and thoro aro willing hearts and helping hands in tho town who will not allow the needy to suffer. If thoro is any family in need of food or clothes, tho Journal, wishes to bo in .formed of tho fact, not for publication, but that tho attention of those who aro ready to help the poor, may bo called to them. Wo havo boon informed by a .number of our citizens that they arc ready lo do all thoy possibly can in .such cases aud it is for this reason wo wish to learn of those who aro needy. IV should also be rotnombored that pride somotlmes prevents many worthy people from making thoir wants known and in all cases whoro charity is given it should be dono with as littlo public ity as possible. HEAR END COLLISION, Tro Soctlnn-, at Freight trnlu Ho. 40 Col lltle. On Monday last, us tho first section of north bound froight train No. 40 roundod tho curve into Perrysburg, it broke in two, and whilo being coupled up to proceed, a brtikomnn wan sent back to slguul the engineer of the sec ond section, but a blinding storm pre, vented tho engineer seeing tho signal until ho camo loo near, and his engine crashed into tho forward cabooso which was completely demolished while tho engine was only slightly damaged, About twenty froight cars woro complotoly wrecked being piled up In all conceivable) shapes. A tank car burst and tho contents woro spilled out upon tho track and down into tho crook near by, and if by any meuns this oil should havo been ignited tho des truction of much property would havo rosuueu.
