Mrs. Stewart Baumgardner was called to Toledo Friday to the bedside of her friend, Mrs. Thos. Conlev, whose death occurred on Saturday. The remains were tak en to Grand Rapids, Ohio, and the funeral service -was conducted by Rev. Baumgardner on Sunday. On 'Monday last Miss Bcttie Thornton sustained severe injuries by having her hands and arms bad ly burned. She was engaged in baking and her dress caught in the flame of an oil stove and in ex tinguishing the flames she was severely burncc. - Dr. Roether was called, and gave medical attention.
