( The wcathtr is very warm and woul J le almost unendurable were it not for the itronp, steady breeze that sweeps across the city daily. The storm last niglit was very severe, but doing no further damage here than to frighten the timid and demolish shade trees. It is thought the oats and wheat crop north and east of us has been, greatly damaged by the heavy, wind that accompanied the rain. FLOUR Receipts continue small and there is no over stock, although the demand is unusually light. Dealers npperir to be waiting for new flour that will commence moving in a couple of weeks. HAY The supply and demand are about equal both moderate. CORN The market is strong and supply very light. The demand is brisk for both white and mixed and prices are firm as quoted. OATS Quotations are merely nominal. There is none offering. MEAL Steady and firm, with a demand for all that offers. BRAN Steady and unchanged. BUTTER Dull and unchanged; there is some demand fcrr choice, but common is overstocked. EGGS All that arrives f.nds ready sale Prices arc quoted firm at U rou'.s t'-day. POULTRY Spring ehsckens are scarce and much sought after. Old chickens art- plenty and quiet. 1ERRIES Steady demand for ell re ceipts. TOTATOES Good demand tor all offer ings.
