The Granite State from Memphis arrived

for several hours and in her eff irts to get
from the wharf she broke her wheel, which
caused considerable delay for repairs.
The Henry A. Tyler from Tiptonville ar

Yesterday was a regular "soul sarchor"
as thu darkey say. Tho wind bbtw terri

overcoats, ear tip, and gloves were in good
demand and everybody moved as though
they were as full of business as a Gol
coodajawyer without a case. If the weath
er continues to treat us with the same
coolness for a few days uioro there will be
a largo number of ruariivs who shall have
tho benefit of a little rest. The Ohio and
Mississippi both wi.I let their b ttmu fall
out only to be tilled with ice.
, Tho Will S. Hays arrived hero yesterday

Brown's Iron Bitters
is one of the very few tonic
medicines that are not com
posed mostly of alcohol or
whiskey, thus becoming a
fruitful source of intemper
ance by promoting a desire
for rum.
Brown's Iron Bitters
is guaranteed to be a non
intoxicating stimulant, and
it will, in nearly every case,
take the place of all liquor,
and at the same time abso
lutely kill the desire for
whiskey and other intoxi
cating beverages.
Rev. G.W. Rick, editor of
the American Christian Rt
vi civ, says of Hrown's Iron
Hitters:'

Brown's Iron Bitters
has been thoroughly tested
for dyspepsia, indigestion,
biliousness, weakness, debil
ity, overwork, rheumatism,
neuralgia, consumption,
liver complaints, kidney
troubles, &c, and it never
fails to render speedy and
permanent relief
