here last evening at 2 o'clock. She had a

Sam Hill, chief clerk of tho Tyler, look
ed mighty cool yesterday. His appearauce
indicated that he had been playing a game
of "puzo cut" auitgot the worst of it.
The Gua Fowler will as usual report here
this rveuirig in time to connect with the
Illinois Central R. R, and leave for Pttdu
cah on her return trip at 4:30 p. m.
The Granite State from Memphis arrived
here at 7 o'clock yesterd ty morning. She
had a good trip. Th 3 wind held her here
for several hours and in her eff irts to get
from the wharf she broke her wheel, which
caused considerable delay for repairs.
The Henry A. Tyler from Tiptonville ar
rived here yesterday morning at 7:20. She
had a No. 1 trip of freight and people, and
wiil leave here again this evening at 4
o'clock lor Osceola, For freight or passage,

The Trouble With the Steward,
